Trump's approval was the highest he's ever had the last few months of last year at nearly 45% by RCP. He has not dipped below the low/mid 40s in basically a year. He will 100% win the re-election especially considering who the DNC are considering putting forth. If it's anyone like Warren, bloodbath.

It is very early to make predictions about specific candidates. The election will be entirely about Trump: do you like him or hate him? Unfortunately actual issues and debate will matter very little.

For the Democrats we're still learning who is planning to run but at the moment it looks like former Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Elizabeth Warren, and possibly Senator Kamala Harris will be running.

This election season will last just a little bit longer than the last one and cost more than the last one, continuing the unfortunate trend of the years.

If there was a principled figure who could represent the Dems, not be old as sin, and appeals to most Americans, I could see Trump losing 2020. However, the current pool of Democratic candidates doesn't give me that confidence. I could see the Senate going more for the Dems, but I still see Trump as president at this rate, unless Mueller's report somehow manages to convince more Republicans than expected and is actually an airtight proof that Trump was involved in what everyone says he was in.
