I am checking the world map again and it always amazes me that how US is truly fucking blessed geographically.

Massive resources from wide wide North American continent.
Both west and east sides are protected by Pacific and Atlantic ocean blocking enemy armies.
America even got unsinkable carriers right below the chin of their military competitors, China and Russia. For China, they got Japan and for Russia, they got UK.

If God exists, he must be American.

Yes, they got quite lucky and also were really clever in their political manoeuvres of the 20th century

Well, we used to justify our expansion on the basis that it was endorsed by god.

it wasn't just luck. the ol' americans had to build this all themselves otherwise it would just be another shithole with a lot of resources. see russia

USA have Taiwan and Ireland actually. UK and Japan aren't American puppets in that extend.
Plus UK controls Canada and Latin Americas (in some extend).
Otherwise the geographical position is very sweet. It's sad that US' coast line predominantly populated by African-Americans and Hispanics which cause some safety problems and make those places less desirable to visit. If population proportion were more like 70 years ago USA would be unbelievably perfect..

>the ol' americans had to build this all themselves
depends what you mean by this. In terms of geography, no. The Louisiana Purchase sealed the deal. Mexico would never be able to rival the US and Britain never be able to invade it. 1776 was the first and last time the fate of the US was truly in question.

In terms of actual nation building, yes. America is a liberal republic where freedom and the free market are placed above all and that makes it great. But that also means that as strong as it is against outside threats, it will likely fall against internal threats. Just look at all these "muh welfare" faggots who keep voting your country further and further into debt. Even if through reserve currency memery you can't technically go bankrupt, you'll eventually run out of people willing to borrow money.

But you're right. America could've been a kleptocratic shithole. It would've been very powerful, but nothing like what it is today.

That map pretends like it's just the UK that's a counterbalance to Russia and not the entirety of NATO. The entirety of Europe at this point could best be described as a collection of client states to America.

>USA have Taiwan and Ireland actually. UK and Japan aren't American puppets in that extend.
Taiwan, yes. Ireland... wat?

>Plus UK controls Canada
Wat? Just because it was a former colony? No. If anything, America controls it. Between its military presence, NAFTA and the fact that 80% of its trade is with the US, it's the US controlling America. For fucks sake, Canadian policy in the early 20th century was marked exactly by its shift away from the UK and towards the US.

>and Latin Americas (in some extend).
What the ACTUAL FUCK? Do you think there's a mind control device on the Falklands or something? Again, this is the US in a tradition called the Monroe Doctrine. That, and the red scare gave it the justification to overthrow regimes that didn't bend the knee to America.

also they have tons of resources and are pretty much energy independent despite their massive size
Europe got cock teased because they had loads of coal but that's it

>1776 was the first and last time the fate of the US was truly in question.
I wouldn't say that. Washington almost had a military coup after the war.

We also went through a civil war

Spainish-American war could have gone south
Civil war obviously was a gigantic threat if it was not handled well.
early war with Britain after 1812, like over Oregon could have caused problems
German victory in Europe in WWI could have isolated the States, as could Axis victory in WWII
invasion from a strong Mexico
nuclear war with Russia

loads of chances for things to hit the fan

>Ireland
USA have strong ties with Ireland and Irish people. At first Irish were anti-British as well as USA. Irishmen served in the Union Army. UK's sympathies were on Southern side. Between 1866 and 1871, the Fenian raids of the Fenian Brotherhood, an Irish Republican organization based in the United States, on British army forts, customs posts and other targets in Canada. I heard but do not have profs that Ireland wanted join USA after their liberation from UK.
>Canada
UK held Newfoundland and Labrador until last moment to keep some control in Northern America if US obtain bigger influence in Canada. The most prosperous city in the world, Detroit got destroyed after riots that were started after mysterious event, as well as Chicago, Wisconsin fires in 1870 century earlier.
>Latam
If some country is communist or socialist that country are under The Internationale (organization similar to East India Company). Do not forget that communism was invented in England, just like feminism, fascism etc. Most of drug trade is under English control since Opium wars. England has strong ties with Italy and Hungary.

What is this gook spewing on about?

sure if those had gone sour then it could be a detriment to the US.
>invasion from a strong Mexico
This is one I don't particularly agree with. They literally had no chance. Couldn't even defend their northern states from injuns.

IF GOD EXISTS, HE MUST BE AMERICAN.

They also have the best weather. I would say we're also lucky; huge territory, Amazon, there are no earthquakes here... BUT the weather is fucking awful, it's always hot.

they also have friendly-ish allies to the north and south which helps out massively while building a nation

russia is a frozen shithole for much of the year that lacks basic necessities for projecting power like reliable warm water ports, even if you consider their resource advantage a big one they're still connected by land to asia/europe and are weak to being easily invaded by countries raging from japan to khanates all the way to france and the UK
can you imagine how much america would have had their shit smacked if they were invaded every 25-50 years from 1770 to now? how about if when you were undergoing your civil war a foreign military force like pic related shows up to 'help out' i.e., secure assets and take sides, you should at least realise how devastating this would have been given that it was france and spain that helped secure your independence from a country that would have had to cross the atlantic ocean to get to you

To be entirely fair geography also benefited Britain a lot since the place was secure from the wars that ravaged Europe over and over and retarded its development.

kill yourself libertardian

we did benefit massively from that you are entirely correct, although to be fair we basically had to become one of the best naval forces in the world to secure that position

Also being the only place in Europe with both abundant coal and iron helped.

gtfo back to plebit fagot

> invaded by billions of mexican roaches
> cant do anything about it
> blessed geographically
you know who was actualy, grancolombia had 3 times more oil reserves than russia

>invasion from a strong mexico
