Why did we call Germans the Hun menace?

Why did we call Germans the Hun menace?

Calling Slavs "Huns" may make sense but why Germans?

We compared the German militarism to the Huns

It went back to Wilhelm II's famous "Hun speech" before the boxer rebellion war, google it

Because Kaiser Wilhelm made an autistic speech comparing himself and the Germans to Attila the Hun.

Why arr you making a thread about something you can look up on google faggot

What's remarkable about WW1 propaganda is that only the Allies dehumanized their opponents, you don't see German WW1 propaganda dehumanizing the enemies, at most it ridicules them

cause the Huns crossed the Rhine and were stopped in Northeastern France like in WW1

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Catalaunian_Plains

Yeah Serbia must die and we will punish the dog Serbia aren't dehumanising at all. Although Brits took it too a next level with the dead factories and the crucifixion.

>serbs
>people
You've neither been in the country, nor actually seen their diaspora. They're the most backwards slavs together with hoh*ls

that is also rather ridiculing
not comparable to contemporary Allied propaganda

>is that only the Allies dehumanized their opponents
only Anglo-Americans*
French propaganda is too nice. For some reason they're much better than all of us at that

During the boxer rebellion, the Kaiser said that the German army would descend upon the Chinese like the Hun. He hated Asians and wanted China destroyed. The Germans would have even burned Peking to the ground had the other armies not stopped him.

not true.

You can't dehumanize what isn't human to begin with, Hun.

Britain and Germany really were quite brutal during the first 50 years of chinese humiliation

>mutt calling anyone names
This is for grown ups only

What's even more remarkable is that the kind of dehumanizing propaganda employed by the Western allies until today, most importantly in the UK while in Eastern Europe and Russia, countries where a way larger share of the population died during the wars, the same sentiment doesn't exist. For the Soviets German proletarians were just being manipulated by their fascist overlords.

Sorry if it hurt your feelings, Hun Jr. Also, before you say something, I;m using "Jr." to denote that your country are less significant than Germany, not that it is necessarily younger.

Don't find it that deshumanizing. But you did the same during the Rhur occupation anyway

Soviets had the most based propaganda by far, yes. Americans the most cringe. Very primitive like you say.

I think we were the best at combining propaganda with entertainment.

Something like this is far more enjoyable than any German or Soviet propaganda film even if it isn't as sophisticated.

Don't you have to die for Israel or something?

These are fun to watch
