Bapeньe > Пoвидлo

I think I prefer Guinness over literal liquid bread. You guys took it too far.

Powidło is only eaten in central European countries, I think that's what OP meant.

Nah. We in Russia also have powidlo. I think it's popular among all slavs.

What Russians refer to as powidlo is not the same thing that poles have in mind

What is Russian powidło like?

Can't see the difference

Made it at home.
Pretty refreshing.

never heard about this in my life even though I'm as central European as they come.

I Denmark we call it "Blommegrod"

>central Europe

Yes, I am central. I have never tried pelmeni, kvass or borsch, I do not live in a steppe populated by commieblocks and wooden huts, my people never bore names like Vatya, Blyatya or Sergay until they betrayed their culture in the 1920's, our military is not a glorified gay rape camp, and no mafia spawned from prison gay rape culture has have a big influence on either official or informal power structures.

yeah yeah, but have any of you ever had khinkali?

>Powidło
>Dżem
No chyba cię pojebało.

We also have it here in Moldova / Eastern Romania. We call it povidlă. Magiun is pretty much the same stuff in southern Romania but is of Turkish inspiration I think.

Greeks invented it

Proofs?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marmalade#Origins

Greeks invented everything
You don't really need proofs if a Greek claims something.

>mass produced shit instead of grannies carefully experimented recipe
yikes

Is that plum? I love plums, they're like bunch of giant grape fruits

>Powidło
>Marmelade

Yet again people are confusing things.

Powidl is neither jam, nor marmelade. It's a separate, different product.

Attached: 16851717.jpg (306x306, 18K)

it's all the same
just with different fruits

No it's not. See Production process is different in case of every of these products.

Powidl also tastes very diffetent from jams and marmelades. It's much less sweet.

How is the production process different?

>production process = the end product

Attached: 3e1.png (491x335, 341K)

>Powidl is prepared without additional sweeteners or gelling agents
>Powidl is cooked for several hours, in order to achieve the necessary sweetness and consistency. The plums used should be harvested as late as possible, ideally after the first frosts, in order to ensure they contain enough sugar

Also
>Powidl compared to jams, confiture and marmalades have the highest fruit content. It is recommended to use 160 g of fruit to obtain 100 g of finished product. In the case of jams, 25-35 g of fruit is enough, 100 g of confiture is prepared from 50-60 g of fruit, and 80-110 g of fruit are needed to make the same amount of marmalade

So people basically discovered an inferior method to produce an inferior product.

>Inferior
Have you ever tasted it kraut? It feels 100 times better than any jam or marmelade.

And it IT objectively superior because it contains the biggest amount of fruits per g of product.

Gonna visit grandma which lives in wester Belarus this summer to eat fresh baked bread with powidlo and sip some damn good cold kwas.
Feels good, huh? Just like in childhood.

Galician bvlls belong in the northwest of the iberian peninsula, whether polish or ukrainian.

could there conceivably be anything to add to this? it's perfect poetry

sounds like some eastern european jam/marmalade recipe

Szilvalekvár.

Eastern European Jam?

>slovenia
>land is full of slavs
Slavs are based and redpilled for their clear and concise naming of their countries

Literally just normal jam without sugar, which is how we make it and probably how every other slav makes it

According to Wikipedia, poles don't add sugar to it.

Yes I did and I don't like it. It's not better than marmelade. It actually looks and feels like baby shit.

looks nice, do you like mämmi?

What is it made of?

All the pics I've seen make it look like jam

Honestly, it sounds kinda nasty to me

It's Slovenija, not Slovanija

Everybody knows "kvass". We call it kalja. Swedes call it svagdricka. It's just that you have a tradition to make a juice from bread which you then ferment. While at least we use malted grains to make the juice.

Isn't Slovenia more italian than slavic?

Probably. There used to be a lot of Italians there.
