Born and raised in the Netherlands, here is my opinion:
The Netherlands is a very Calvinistic society, even though nowadays people are hardly religious here, the values are still in place.

That means being sober and modest and not flaunting your wealth and archievements, fitting in and being 'normal', having rigid principles, and living frugally even if you are wealthy. Basically most of the Dutch are normies.
You will also find that most people here are a bit conservative in a strange way. The Dutch are liberal with sex and drugs and don't seem to give a much of a shit about weird or 'degenerate' behaviour, but they can be quick to shame people that seem awkward, antisocial or that they don't percieve to be 'normal'.
Despite that it's one of the countries with the highest living standards in the world, it's well developed and wealthy and overall the population seems happy. But it can be boring if you expect adventure, the people are are a bit conservative and even the big cities feel more like big villages to me. Pubs/clubs/bars close quite early and people seem generally reluctant to do wild or crazy things. People in the Netherlands are also a bit individualistic and not very prone to socialising with strangers, so some immigrants may struggle to make friends here, that are used to a more open social structure, since most people will leave you alone unless you bother them.

I work at DHL and my collegues are 80% polish, in fact I'm one of the few Dutch people here.
I got to know them over time, they're basically like highschool teenagers. They try to act though and macho but most of it is fake, if you banter with them and don't act like a pussy they will show their soft side and share wodka and drugs. Their interests are simple, just talk about sex and drugs and other stupid shit and you will win their monkey respect, they can also have a good sense of humour

Bars and clubs closing times depend a lot on the city. Groningen and Nijmegen are the only cities in Europe that have no regulations on closing times for clubs and bars for example, whereas the Amsterdam city council are a remainder from 1940

this affects the poor the most because old people and single mothers can't just get up and leave a neighborhood when the government starts importing them into your street.
This happend to the place i was born and it became known as a "probleem wijk" Problem neighborhood.
after importing these browns for over a decade because they wanted to get rid of the problem neighborhood they tore down the cheap housing and built brand new houses around my neighborhood (excluding the block i was on) and moved those brown people to other places in the city so that the problem can happen again in a few years never tackling the root of the issue because that would actually mean getting rid of these foreigners

Well I don’t experience it like this since I moved to Groningen. And it’s much better than some surrounding countries like Germany (where everything is closed on sunday) or Britain (where everything is closed outside of working hours it seems)

Id also like to add that we only have a tiny amount of land and the population density is really bad but the politicians will never address this because the solution is again getting rid of this massive influx of foreigners that was forced upon our nation.
