thats not how IQ works though. Yeah they read slower but my dad has dyslexia and he ends up retaining what he reads much better because he reads it so slow. It makes it so words get mixed up so its harder sure but that doesn't effect how much you can retain or how much you can comprehend it. He just had to study longer in school but he still got good grades and graduated with a degree in engineering.

I commute to uni so my social life is limited. If you live on campus or more specifically in a college town I would imagine things would be easier.

iirc the doc said that ADHD work like that :
You got your dopamine "ceilling" too high so you need to be more stimulated to be focus and happy to do something. Ritalin does that, it kind of overload your dopamine and you can do stuff.
It depend also if you're hyperactive or something. I'm not so the drugs don't get me sleepy but i knew a guy who could sleep all day with ritalin.
