Why are there no interested democratic presidential candidates? Biden is boring, Bernie is too radical for America and the rest are literal whos.

(This is about America so it's international)

Interesting*

Mike Gravel recently joined the race, although he's not actually looking to win (he's almost 90 years old), he's doing it so he can call out all the right-wing Democratic candidates at the debates. If you saw him back in 2008, you'd know he's not afraid to do it. He called out Biden to his face back then, too.

your image is missing Buttgieg (who is also a homo :DDDDDD)

Here's his 2020 announcement video:

Do candidates who don't have millions of $s behind them in one way or another even stand a chance? Campaigning is expensive in the US of A

A lot of people lining up to be the next Walter Mondale.

sure, trump was outspent by hillary's campaign by millions

YAAAAAAANNNGG GGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNGGG

The rest are unironically worse than Trump

I'm not saying necessarily the one who spents most wins

>Too much of a who to even be on this picture

That's what I'm saying, so many literal whos

The one and only chance Biden ever had at being president was if Obama had had a spontaneous aortic aneurysm and died.

realistically a presidential candidate that secures the ticket of the major parties will be supported by them, that's where the interest of the american people lays, so by default a candidate that has support will also have a campaign spending millions of dollars for advertising in all 50 states

on local levels though plenty of people with small campaign finances get elected into congress or state legislatures

Most of them are also Northeastern Democrats which is practically a guaranteed loss in a presidential election.

What do you mean "secure the ticket of the major parties"? Like, be recognized by them as a realistic candidate so they start supporting them?

Yes. The DNC recently changed the rules so that if you have 65K donors (even if they all donate $1) you can be at the debates. So far Andrew Yang and Tulsi Gabbard are able to be there solely thanks to this new provision.

yes, that's exactly it, what you're really asking me is "do third party candidates have a chance of getting elected?" Since the American public is rarely interested in them the answer is by default not really. There are primary elections, and that's where the public really directs which candidate is selected by each party, so at that stage we see their support for a candidate locked in.

Last interesting Democrat president was LBJ. Democrats are boring. They've been boring since they smashed all the unions and kicked out the racists.

I think they've been pretty lame since carter, we really can't afford to elected them to the executive branch, since the democrats intention is unironically to destroy American culture.

That's what I thought. Doesn't that make the political debate really binary though? I'd assume democratic candidates opinions on things can't deviate too much from the general democratic party itself so what's the point of having so many candidates? Also why is there much less reporting on republican candidates? Because Trump is still president they aren't campaigning yet or is it just the media focuses more on democratic ones?

Most of those people are not literal who's

And what was Obama doing partying in Hawaii with his celebrity friends as the suburbs were being eaten up by a silent heroin epidemic?

Incumbent presidents are usually renominated unopposed unless they're super-unpopular. That's also a guaranteed election predictor. If nobody challenges an incumbent president, he's pretty much guaranteed to be reelected.

>Nixon
Renominated unopposed
>Ford
Challenged by Reagan. Lost.
>Carter
Challenged by Ted Kennedy. Lost
>Reagan
Renominated unopposed
>GHW Bush
Challenged by Pat Buchanan. Lost.
>Clinton
Renominated unopposed
>Bush
Renominated unopposed
>Obama
Renominated unopposed

it's not a good strategy to challenge the sitting president from your own party

i doubt anyone's gonna challenge trump for the republican nomination and if they do they're gonna get BTFO by republican voters

Ah, makes sense, for the good of the party they just don't oppose Trump then

I don't vote for whites

Our media without much deviation is focusing on the democratic ones yeah, just about every week our public news services report on x person in y state declaring their intention to run, or investigate a run. There is only one candidate I can think of who intends to run in opposition to trump, and I can't now recall his name, that may change, but without much exception a party will support its incumbent executive office holder (incumbents are generally favored by the public in their reelection campaign as well). The only real case where that doesn't happen is with a declared intention on their behalf not to seek the party's nomination, which famously occurred during the LBJ administration.

based

Franklin Pierce was the only elected president ever denied renomination by his own party.

Bernie really isn't as radical as people (billionaires controlling the media) make him out to be

Thy know Trump is going to win again. Americans are complete dummies.

>brexistential crisis lad

I mean relative to American public opinion and culture. In Europe he wouldn't be radical I guess (what he actually stands for, he still expresses himself in a pretty radical way)

I had a good laugh when I heard Cory Booker being introduced as "black". He looks like a tanned white.

found the dumb dumb

more like an arab or italian

harris also counts a

As I said before, the only chance Biden ever had at being president would have been Obama dropping of an undetected congenital heart defect. Bernie can be defeated with one sentence--"Very good sir, and how will you be paying for that?"

Cory Booker? Just need to show what a ghetto shithole Newark is. Eric Holder? Fast and Furious. Fakahonta is a meme and the rest are literallywhos.

They are all shit

>harris also counts a
She's half poo.

You're out of your mind if you think Newark isn't a million times better than it was 20 years ago.

If these nothing changes in terms of candidates Trump is probably gonna be reelected for sure

IIRC, sitting presidents are rarely defeated, I guess they think even Trump will not be defeated, so they are saving their star players with more potential until 2020 when they have a better chance of winning.

WHERE THE FUCK IS MY MAN ANDREW YANG

tell that to her and her party

in the bin where he belongs

Like AOC...oh wait, by 2020 she'll be back to serving drinks at a shitty hipster bar in Queens.

YANG 2020

I hope she gets voted out desu. I’m just really curious what her constituents think about her now that she’s on the hill

What about Tulsi Gabbard? Did she drop out or something?

I love the add, but how come it's mostly older people running for president?
I thought 2016/2020 was the "youth election"?

Her disapproval numbers are already skyrocketing and her constituents complaining that she's ignoring/neglecting their needs.

That picture isn’t recent. Yeah she’s still in but she’s far behind.

I don’t like her policy. But i’d fugg her desu

I don't know if she will, but I expect her counterpart that muslim somali woman from Minneapolis won't serve a second term in the house

Don the Zion
or
Yang Gang
or
Bernie Ripoff Dems

It takes money and connections to run for president.

She's still running.
I dunno why she's not there tho

Post link pls
I hate her too. I think you’re right about that

anyone can run from office, it takes a great deal of mobilized resources to succeed in it though, that's what you should be saying

>anyone can run from office

This is literally false. A young person cannot be president.

Who would be likely republican candidates for the 2024 elections?

nydailynews.com/news/politics/ny-news-aoc-ravorability-rating-down-20190316-story.html
cnbc.com/2019/03/19/aoc-approval-rating-falls-after-amazon-deal-collapse-as-trump-hammers-democrats-over-socialism.html

The Amazon debacle alone was a killer to her.

Jeb

Too far away to know

That's hilariously out of date, this is a much better list
nytimes.com/interactive/2019/us/politics/2020-presidential-candidates.html

In her actual district her approval rating is 60-70% according to polls

She's still in. In fact she just qualified for the debates this week.

There's a fair amount of young people running. Tulsi Gabbard, Pete Buttigieg and Eric Swalwell are all in their 30s, and Beto O'Rourke, Andrew Yang, Tim Ryan, and Julian Castro are in their 40s.

I really can'r see anyone winning over Sanders at this point, every candidate there is a discount Bernie who is just getting in on the progressive ship set on sail.
Can't wait for that Trump vs Bernie presidential ""debate"", Ameican politics are funnier than most of the sitcoms they've been shitting out recently

Yeah I couldn't find anything beyond that shitty picture on google images. How realistic is it for O'Rourke to win?

I don’t think it will be Bernie. The party is going to force him out. Infact after the last election, they created a rule saying to run as a democrat you must actually be a democrat. Bernie is a self proclaimed socialist who is just trying to run on the democratic ticket. Not only that, but liberal media is attacking him and trying to make him look bad.

>Beto My-Maid-Was-Mexican Orourke

conditions outside the base requirements should be obvious, don't be a goober

>He looks like a tanned white.
utter state of europe

low as shit. Leftists don’t want a white male in office again

literally could be anyone eligible within the party today

I don't imagine she has any chance of winning anyhing, but she running as Vice-president with Bernie is my dream team. The hilarity of it would be amazing.

>Old jewish man and young hindu woman from Haiti run the US

Just imagine.

I would not be surprised if Republicans eventually get wise to the fact that many people only care about image, so they will find some black or hispanic republican girl and train her up. A surprising number of them are quite conservative. Imagine Hilary's face if the first female president of America is a red.

>I really can'r see anyone winning over Sanders at this point,

I'm pretty sure at this point the Democrats are more scared of Sanders winning than of Trump being re-elected. They will do whatever they can to make him lose.

i want to fuck the shit out of Kirsten Gillibrand.. to bad she married an anglocuck

Odds aren't terrible. He's extremely charismatic, his blunders haven't affected his standing at all, and he's in this weird position where he appeals to old white moderates and super liberal young hipsters at the same time. And the DNC likes him which is always a plus. Right now in polling he's considered solidly second tier along with Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris and arguably Pete Buttigieg. (Sanders and Biden are the front runners obviously)

this, he's pretty much the 3rd wheel after biden and sanders. If Biden doesn't declare I think he becomes the main challengger to the old jew

Most foreigners probably don't know you have to be at least 35. Once you're that old, you might as well just be older to have more connections.

It wouldn’t be funny and it won’t happen

Just like last time, all a bunch of people no one cares for. It will probably again a vote for the least worst candidate.

Attached: Belgian girl.jpg (500x619, 35K)

There's been heavy rumors since 2016 that she's Bernie's top pick for VP. Remember this is the person that resigned from the second most powerful position in the DNC just so she could endorse Bernie (and was the first pol to do so)

That’s literally how it’s always been

I like Booker best. His plans for stock buybacks and public savings accounts for every child seem very smart.

As for healthcare, looking around here, there are many models for universal guaranteed healthcare some better than the Canadian model that Sanders would introduce. Would be better than what they have now, but you shouldn't settle for the first big idea comes your way.

Fuck no. He wants to completely eliminate private insurance. Fuck that. I like private

Your reckon trump will be opposed?

From what I can tell he is whiteoid obama

left wing politics is for retards/incels, I hope they all fail and Trump gets elected for a second term

Even if Bernie wins America won't suddenly embrace social democracy, if his own party dislikes him this much he'll barely get any bills passed, and I doubt he'll just make college and healthcare free with only executive orders.
America's political system is skewed towards the status quo

Even here you have private insurance

Are there any DemocRats who are still pro-borders or do they simply not exist any more?

No. They like his policy, they hate him. They are so set on having a young and non white male president

Boomer

He said he wants to eliminate it. The only thing that would exist is government.

I have both right now. I have free government healthcare and I have private. I only use my private insurance because its way better

There's no pro borders candidates apart from Patrick little

>There's been heavy rumors since 2016 that she's Bernie's top pick for VP.

I'm hoping a lot for it, but I doubt Bernie will make it himself. And if he did, I figure he will pick someone with less baggage than her.

can't wait for the debates, it will be about which candidate can shit on white america the most meanwhile underage suckers here will still vote for them in 2020
