Since it's arguably an excerpt from a legal document (therefore it'd be more specific, proper English words other than ones used in green text above), there would be other specific ways to parse it. But as far as I(one not engaged in legal business) read, it seems just what you thought.

乙 would be replaced with the name of the company or "the Distributor" or something.

その乙が被雇用者(employee)で、甲が雇用者(employer)だろうな。
It seems an article in the employment contract. In the Japanese contract, 甲・乙 are used as symbols to distinguish the each person concerned generally. It is wrong as such a sentence.I guess 甲 indicates an employer, 乙 does an employee
