Powerful...
I'm a Protestant, but this is truly powerful.
So, did the stained glass survive?
Apparently it did! Some of it did at least, I'm not sure how much.
Come on home my lad
Yeah, I'm reading about it. Apparently the organ too is still standing, although damaged. Now they're saying everything is still to be taken out and restored, also because of paintings damaged by the water, they say it'll take years to make everything normal again
It's a mess but i guess it's better than losing everything. People were really going over the top yesterday with the claims that the entire cathedral was about to crumble
>C*tholic
>NOOOOOOO WHY DIDN'T THE ENTIRE CHURCH BURN DOWN?
Genuinely interested to know, what's the Christian argument for saying God is responsible for saving the church but not responsible for the fire?
If God is omnipotent surely he shouldn't have allowed it in the first place.
god is a self hating jew
It's basically a "glass half full or glass half empty" situation
lol why would god care about a church
Killian
This, God does what he wants
it seems the largest paintings that could have not been moved mainly have suffered from the smoke, and they plan to send them to the Louvre for restoration (hopefully they won't burn it this time)
he's basically a child acting on instinct without a care because he wanted it
He sounds like a cool guy
kino as fuck
You know what's coming.
>referring to God as things he created
you dont understand he created the universe including your simian brain and your love, your rationality, your intellect.
Woah a cross inside a church ? who would have thought
That's funny to think about, but no, i doubt a random clueless lady is going to burst into Louvre to give her personal touch to things
Why did it happen at Easter of all times?
Something something sacrifice

straight out of a movie
Cursed image

It was being treated as a tourist trap. The scare of losing it all will make people appreciate it again. You don't know what you have until it's gone.
