I've had numerous invasions on my property. A few months ago twice in one week I had thieves show up trying to steal my pipes near my water meter, probably to sell for crack. They were clever enough to wear city uniforms but I scared them off with warning shots

I don't know, I live in a small house in a poor community. If someone broke in there's no way I'd be able to call the cops without them knowing

Informing the police is not and instantaneous process, first you have to find your phone, type in the number, wait until it rings, the opposite side takes up the phone. Then you have to describe where you are, who you are, what is happening, maybe answer a few questions, hang on until they are sure they have everything from you, and then you have 5-20 Minutes until the dispatched cops actually arrive.
A lot can happen in this time.

Also police take long as fuck to show up. I've only used 911 once and they showed up like 40 minutes later

There's no fixing it without fixing americans first, guns are too deeply rooted in their culture.
You'll never take them away outright (and you shouldn't) and any attempt to limit gun ownership would be pointless because people will still go out of their way to own a gun just for the fuck of it, even if they live in some middle class neigborhood with no niggers in sight.
Accessibility isn't the problem, you can own guns in most first world countries but very few people will actually bother getting a license for a glorified door wedge. Meanwhile third world shitholes with heavily restrictive firearm laws still have gun crime rates through the fucking roof.

I agree, but even Euro countries where you do not even need a loicense (like Switzerland or Austria) the crime rates are very very low, even in comparison to other European countries.

We have a gun culture similar to the US but there has only been one single mass shooting within the last 30 years and death by guns aren't nearly as high as in America.
How can you seriously believe that the violence in your country isn't caused by social factors like poverty and bleak future prospects?

the easiest way is to say "ban all guns" but that won't remove the fact that a lot of American children still suffer from the same mental ailments that they suffered with guns from. If you want to solve the root of the problem you have to adhere to some hippy shit like a strong family union where the parents aren't jumping from job to job and leave their children in some sports clubs, in front of wallmart to beg for beer or at the phone / xbox to play vidya all day. Also the school system has to be reformed, where you try to help the children to become normal functional adolescents instead of just numbers so the school gets more money. But those things are expensive as shit and would mean that you'd have to care about the future of your citizen, so politicians blame guns, immigrants or video games for the violence

Considering statistical probability, having everyone carry guns would eventually result in more accidental deaths than the combined body count of all these intentional shooters.

I once looked at every school shooting in Canada and the USA where there was a fatality (not attempted or just a BB gun at a bus). You are more than 17 times more likely to die in a school shooting in America than in Canada. If you break it down by elementary/middle/high/college it is remarkably worse in America. That's pretty bad considering everyone keeps claiming Canada and America are the exact same thing.
