The U.S is anomalous in how evil it is. It is a different type of "evil".
Imagine, if you will, an alcoholic gambler who poses an extreme threat to all around him and yet has an amazingly dense superiority complex. Imagine if this gambler sells arms to other people, facilitating murders and violence. Imagine if all the money he gains is lost at a bad night at the casino. Imagine if he only avoids homelessness because of him selling knives and guns and drugs.
Now imagine him thinking of himslf as the epitome of good character, and a good citizen defending and improving his community.
America's evil does not come just from its actions, it is from the fact that, unfortunately, it got away with it. Now, with no one to hold them accountable, they distort history to make it seems as if they are the good guys.
