Do you like it there or do you want to escape to the safety of Y O R K?

It's not as bad as the reputation suggests but would rather be in York

York is a God Tier place. I went there from Kings Cross on a bloody steam train eating cucumber and pickle sandwiches it was great.

Pori. Sad place.

Sobral. born and raised. We have a superiority complex for whatever reason. I've found an article in French that theorizes about why that is: journals.openedition.org/ccrh/2618. Something to do with local elites wanting to stick it to Fortaleza or whatever.
We
>have a discount jesus statue
>have a discount arc de triomphe (pic related)
>ironically call our own city "united states of sobral"
>ironically call our biggest park "central park"
Other than that, an interesting fact is that back in 1919 there was a total solar eclipse here that some British scientists came to observe to help prove the theory of relativity. There is now a museum and an observatory on the exact same spot where they did it. A few weeks ago physicists from all around the world came here to celebrate the 100th anniversary of this event. Yet more fuel to our (now largely ironic I believe) superiority complex.
