There is a chance for peace, but it is quite small. And it won't be like 1914, it will either be an even bloodier Cold War or a nuclear one that some nations will not survive. Either way, humanity will survive this century unless we're hit by a gammy ray burst suddenly. The effects of nuclear weapons are often overrated.
Still, this century will decide whether we have a future or revert to perpetual barbarism and stagnation.
