Gorbachev did everything right
wasnt he a good guy?
It was though wasn’t it? Most European countries had the same borders from 1946-1989. Now we have four frozen conflicts in Europe
Four?
He intentionally destroyed his own country or at least allowed it to happen. Whether or not that makes him a “good guy” probably depends on which infographs you’ve read
Transnistria, Donetsk, Lugansk, and Crimea. You could maybe subtract Crimea and add Abkhazia and South Ossetia or any combination of the above. Cold War was by far the most stable time east Europe has ever known or probably ever will know. Beyond that all socialist countries in this period had consistent growth year after year and almost all people had jobs and houses by law, which by definition is “stable”
Kill state capitalists
Kill capitalists
Gorby is as based as they come. In relative terms. Politics is innately dirty business and especially so in near-totalitarian countries but he seems like one of the rare few who actually wanted to do what is right, and I can respect that. The world desperately needs more moral men.
Shame about the whole dissolution though. Oh well.
Not his fault Yeltsin and the whole of Russia decided to betray the USSR
Fuck the USSR, fuck the CPSU, fuck commies, fuck socialists, fuck antifa, fuck anti-capitalists and fuck Noam Chomsky.
>all socialist countries in this period had consistent growth year after year and almost all people had jobs and houses
yeah okay sure thing
BRO ACTIVE STABILITY IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN BEING ON THE CONSTANT EDGE OF DESTROYING EACH OTHER BRO
Would you rather me hold you over the edge of a cliff with a machine for years; or would you prefer having to constantly fall every once and a while
Russia was pretty nice after the collapse

He was just along for the ride in the end. Oil prices, the arms race with USA, Afghanistan & Chernobyl finished off the Soviet Union. He tried to adapt, but it was inevitable.
Classic
>glasnost and perestroika
This is what I remember.
What do actual Russians think about him
why russians elected yeltsin
they should have let commies take regime
is he still alive?
yes
hate him
Do they actually say bratan as in bro?
soviet union was russia, or should i say moscow, with a bunch of colonies. off course they wanted their freedom. as a smart man he bit the sour apple and let them have it without violence and civil wars then he resigned. has any country had any major issue with the x soviet small cunts since that? not that i know of. yet they where all parts of the enemy during the cold war. is russia still a little butthurt and an """enemy""" hoping to restore the soviet union? yes, unfortunately. as much as i find putin based he has a lot to learn from the man with the birthmark.
i think brat or brachishka are common phrase
