Northern Chinese:
Quite sharp look. Dark brown eyes, small face, a lot less likely to smile. Sometimes an unnatural or insectoid look due to strange surgery or make-up. Fashion sense can be inspired by Japan, Korea, or can have sort of a Chinese cool style (think wide shirts in bright colours, 回力 shoes etc.), or have just quite bad/strange taste, like how some Chinese girls have these strangely formed denim outfits. Body proportions can be a bit strange, can be quite long yet extremely thin.
Of course the languages are a really easy way to tell them apart if they're close.

It’s not about that. I myself prefer Japanese aesthetics but we are talking about natural physiques here. No Korean woman can be as tanned as this Japanese woman even after she spends her whole summer at the beach.

Agree with the fashion comments where, I often find that fashion is the dead giveaway (especially at a distance). Japanese fashion is more out there and has mixes of inspirations. Korean fashion is more trendy and in line with western standards of beauty. At least if the person is a native. Obviously, the fashion indicator falls apart if second-gen or if they've lived in another country for a while.
Facial feature wise, the almond eyes and rounder face indicate Japanese, but in some cases, it's difficult to tell.
