Personally I don't really care about them that much. I grew up around a lot of russian migrant kids, they were alright. Most russians I met were, but there seem to be overly patriotic tinfoil heads who are annoying as fuck.

I like Russia and am friends with a guy who adores Germany. I figure it's because we have some things in common and our nations bonded over them some time. Like our inwardness and fondness of contemplating the outside world whilee trying to make sense of it.
Also we share a sense of honest brutality other nations lack, like the perfidious Albion or the ratty French.
Russkis are great drinkers and roughnecks and it's fun to fuck shit up with them and against them.
