Krauts are sensitive little snowflakes and easily triggered when the subject of automotive design is brought up, I must say.

They pulled a number on us by only selling their premium cars there so they're a brand for douchey yuppies while BMWs and whatnot in Europe are a trashy car driven by shitskins and Eastern Europeans.

But Austria you are German

It's 16%. Germany's economy is very big, you know. Even bigger than California's.

>UK listed when it has no native industries left and all British brands are owned by Germans or poos now

They claim they're not and they were victims of Nazism.

Mercedes are used for taxis over there.

American cars suck dick, cope harder about it

>country that still had cars with mechanical brakes as late as the 1960s

>Mercedes are used for taxis over there.

Here too tho.
They are considered the most rubust and reliable. So it pays using them for lots of driving.

um actually sweaty the ford f150 is based

German cars have a reputation in the US for falling apart in three years of purchase. Anecdotal evidence suggests these reliability issues (like the Audi 5000 accidental acceleration) don't seem to crop up in Europe.

I've heard the theory that because we only get the premium trim levels, the cars have loads of heavy, complicated crap that breaks down easily while that might be less of a problem over there where people can buy more stripped trim levels. Perhaps American driving conditions (often long distances in extreme weather) are too hard on a car designed for poodling around cities in the mild climate of northern Europe.

Ive noticed that thay begin crying profusely and playing the victim every time some sort of criticism comes up.

IDK but the Japanese managed to figure out how to build cars suitable for American roads after the early days when they discovered that taxicabs designed for driving around Tokyo broke down in about 20k miles here.

A/C in German cars also sucks took, it's extremely weak. I've heard it said that this is because they don't really care about options they can't sell in Germany. Most cars aren't sold with A/C or an automatic transmission over there, so they've never given a fuck about making them work decently.
