Majoring in STEM is a very likely way to become middle class. You won't get rich unless you take huge risks (in any field) so there is no "guaranteed" way to become rich, besides inheriting it from your parents.

I chose the electrical trade. Hate this shit... but gotta learn to like it. There's no future in the trades unless you go union which are like 15% of all electrical jobs (ballpark given by a trade instructor I had).

IF you decide to go this route, do trade school in the night while working as a helper/apprentice during the day. By the time you graduate, you will be able to transition to unions better.

I personally need 13 months to finish a bachelors and will be becoming a k-12 teacher. Much easier. Babysitting basically. I fucked up HAAARD tho so... I probably won't start until about a yr from now so I'll be probably 26 when I graduate. Shit sucks.
