>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy? Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.
I was reading something about boglehead 3 fund portfolio. Where the main example was putting your money into 3 vanguard investments( vanguard themselves recommend 4, but anyways) Vgstx (total international stock market index Vbmfx ( total bond market index) Vtsmx (total stock market index) I think one of them is suppose to be a total domestic stock market but considering I live in South Africa I don't think that's a very good idea. Anyways considering their performances over the past few years or more I think they're a pretty safe bet. Though I know even giant stock market funds can fuck up. Anyways they don't leverage their funds do they(might sound silly)? Like if one of there funds fuck up badly it wouldn't have a domino on the rest? For my initial year or so I want to invest in these three as my starting investments. Is this alright? Any tips? I'm intending to be lazy and play it alil safe but not too safe.
What's the difference between the etfs and the share index funds?
Carter Evans
VGSTX is basically a three (four) fund portfolio already pe-allocated. Its 40% bonds which is fairly high (im 20% bonds) but that might be fine for you depending on your risk tolerance. If you ad more bonds on top of that, you'll get even more bond heavy.
Usually 3 funds are not leveraged. Bogleheads has a good guide on three fund portfolios.
>You only need BST finance.yahoo.com/quote/BST ?? Do they even give dividends? Cause it doesn't look it finance.yahoo.com/quote/vgstx >Pic related.they seem to be in the exact same spot as 5 years ago. I know I haven't done the research or anything but that doesn't look like something with growth. Other vanguard options look much better >Vanguard are thieves, just buy the SPY. Vanguard outperforms them though. What you mean they're thieves?
>Despite their high cost, Canada Goose's fur-trimmed parkas have become "almost the uniform of the inner city among 16-to-24 year olds" in Canada, according to as one president of a market research firm.[22] In China, despite calls to boycott Canadian products over the arrest of Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou in Canada, the brand's new flagship store in Beijing saw long lineups on opening day in December 2018.[23]
This is the cited article about the long lines in December at the new store in China. It also talks about why the stock tanked so hard in December on fears on Chinese trade dispute + Huawei CFO arrest and potential to hurt sales.
>how is life in south africa? Things aren't getting better. Eskoms made another oopsie and they're implementing load shedding again (blackouts). I need a way to make a savings cause inflation seems to be keeping the pace with peoples pension funds and government keep making more decisions to throw money down the drain. Investment is my only hope.
Joshua Rodriguez
In fact the governments actually trying to force pension funds into investing in government projects. Which in my mind means just more money for corrupt officials to funnel into their pockets

nuuuu ;_; thats what your portfolio will look like
Okay one more shill post and I'm done. Fun fact: The GOOS has only missed earnings once since it IPO'd in 2016:
June 2017: +28% above estimate August 2017: +45% November 2017: +39% February 2018: +21% June 2018: +157% August 2018: -15% below estimate November 2018: +53%
GOOS' competitors earnings for Q4 2018: >COLM +29% >VFC +5% but the stock jumped from $73.80 to $84 on earnings day... and kept going up. It's still going up.
By the by, if I do get anyone to fomo in tomorrow, I recommend selling as near to the high of day as you can manage. If this goes the same as the last time, it is likely to drop somewhat immediately after the hysteria of the day settles. I will be selling almost all of my holding tomorrow unless it hits earnings exactly and trades flat for some reason.
Read Tan Liu's "The Ponzi Factor"... The secret to making money on the stock market is to frontrun people. The safest ways to invest is for dividends/yeild not capital gains. Although you will find plenty of morons that will say that dividends make a company less valuable. A STOCK IS A FUCKING PIECE OF PAPER, if it doens't pay dividends and doesnt give you voting rights it is worthless. Do you really think you own part of a company. Can you just walk into a business you own stock in and take something home with you? You own something when you can send the police to violently take stuff away from people and give it to you.

What did they do?

Gonna bag me some NVAX once my Refund hits. Be sweet to watch it replicate AMRN (hit the 16 per mark). Then once the buyout hits. Watch it fetch 32 per share. Then the Profit shall rain down on me to just turn it around and buy more T and his nice fat Divvy.
In the mean time while I wait my T stock is piling up those Divvy's.
Samuel Smith
Down 0.11%? Seems like average futures numbers.

Pretty sure the crowd you have in mind has divested from Patreon due to their "trust and safety committee" favoring political correctness over free speech.

general market sentiment. trade war bullshit was happening last year around this time, too. NVDA rose with the indexes well into 10/2/19 and then Fed Chair Powell went full hawktard and threatened more rates. Whole market started to tank.
NVDA's biggest shit in October was due to their HUGE earnings miss when it was revealed on the conference call that after the crypto bubble popped, lots of graphics cards remained unsold sitting in warehouses or wherever they store them.
