I'm only 20 minutes in and this seems like the quintessential Jow Forums movie
>Ewan McGregor is a futures trader who gets sent to Singapore to start his bank's trading floor
>Bank won't give him a budget so he has to hire Chinese teenagers off the street
>One of them fucks up and sells 20k worth of contracts when she was supposed to buy
>Ewan tries to hide the losses by gambling his clients' money away
>Blows 100% of the clients' margin
>Now only has the Bank's money to play with
Is there a more JUST movie than this? Anyone else seen it?

other biz movies:

glengarry glen Ross
boiler room
wolf of shit st

Glengary is more about sales than trading. Otherwise, good picks.

No Country for Old Men is unironically Jow Forums

Not really a biz movie. More a morality tale against trading really. Its based in a true story.

he gets caught and died in prison with cancer

ha! spoiled!

>wolf of shit st
Watched that again recently and didn't think it held up

why would you do that

Thanks asshole

Stumbled upon it the other night upon a another anons recommendation. Glad i watched it. It's a great film.

biz movie ratings...

God tier: Rogue trader, wall street
Good tier: boiler room, glengarry, margin call, the pursuit of hapyness
Normie tier: wolf of wall street, the big short

>Blue Horseshoe loves Anacott Steel

I wont ruin it. But google nick leeson after. The true story is actually more interesting than the movie. It was one of those movies they push out quickly after real life events, not a terrrible movie but not the best imo. British movies always suck a bit production wise.

Personally I don't mind spoilers. If a movie is dependent on its ending to make it good, then it has no lasting value. The real meat and taters of a movie is the process that it goes along GETTING to that notable scene or moment. That's where the real magic lies.

I like the part 2 of this movie where he is a rogue heroin addict after losing everything.

Damn it's a real story?

Maybe he is ourguy. Though who goes to Singapore and doesn't fuck hot asians?

Good ratings. Wolf was so cringe I couldn't even finish it.

Maybe have a look at documentaries like Floored, and The Pit. They seem authentic.

Kek

Essential Jow Forumschad film. Pure redpill about the cutthroat corporate ladder.
