Get contacts, faggot

Yes had it done as soon as I was old enough to, beat money ever spent
Hurts like a mofo when they slice you eyelid open though

Has same problem as you too op, vision was shit from a distance. Now it’s perfect and it’s been like 10 years since I had it done no issues

ICL surgery.... 4k per eye but worth it since its the best technology out there

And uhmmm wrong wording they don’t slice you eyelid but the little layer in your actual eye and kinda open it up with this weird vacuum thing that gives your eye the succ that part hurt like fucking hell

Theres a new tech called hcl or something and they insert a removable collagen contact lens and thus has less complications

It would be really helpful for me but I dunno, the risk of going blind far outweighs the annoyance of wearing glasses/contacts

33 years old boomer here, got it done at 20
surgeon warned me my cornea was thin, and it got REALLY thin as a result
until very recently i had severe dryness problems (constant pain in the eyes), thankfully found the right eye drops now
i also had some degradation of my vitreous humor a few years ago, because of the thinner cornea + too much time in the sun. so i have a floating black spot and few tears permanently in my sight, in the light
flipside, i now have 9/10 vision which is good enough to go without glasses. the comfort it brings is truly incredible. i went from homebound kv neet meme to dating the perfect woman, traveling around the world, finding work being my own boss and doing what i love
basically huge upsides, potentially just as huge downsides, but i would still do it again in a heartbeat. just make sure you get a good surgeon, listen to them and respect post-surgery protocol religiously

My friend who is Vietnamese was essentially blind, couldn’t make out a face within 15 feet from him. He got the new lasik surgery where they only cut a sliver and do the job, rather than cutting a whole circle around the eye. That fuckers vision is better than mine now. Recovery was less than a day and I think it was $4k. Shits crazy. Pretty weird seeing him without glasses after knowing him for 15 years. I’d say it’s worth it

do not get lasik its for ppl that cant afford ICL

ICL is reversible if needed and surgery does not alter and weaken the structure of the eyes

My granduncle said he was getting virtually blind, so he did it, but they said don't expose it too heat. He said it worked well and his vision was great, but he forgot and opened the oven while he was facing it and he was back to being blind.

“If you were to inform patients of everything I personally believe they should be informed of, nobody would have the surgery."

All women are whores.

> just get your cornea sliced off and glued back what could go wrong?
Why are normalfags so averse to glasses?

nah
youre wrong
i know this one chick

This, its not worth long term, since your eyes will just continue to degenerate anyways. Not to mention the chance to just make you blind.

Rose recalls asking her directly what was bothering her shortly after the surgery.

“She looked at me and she said, ‘Dan, it’s like my eyes and my brain aren’t communicating like they used to. I can’t process like I used to. I’m not visualizing things like I used to,’” Rose said.

Rose said he’s sharing his wife’s story -- including videos she shot about her pain and notes he found -- so that others know what she was going through prior to her death.

Good that you take the one thing from the article that's by some random 60 year old hosting a support group, instead of the lines saying "Patient satisfaction is 96% or greater from over 7000 peer reviewed journals".

OP, lasik (and even further SMILE) are generally quite safe operations, and absolutely worth the money. I had mine when I was around 21, and have had no complications whatsoever, even though I was already experiencing very dry eyes BEFORE the operation, that hasn't gotten worse at all. Best investment of 4000$ you can do in your life, hands down.(For what it's worth I know essentially the 2 most renowned ophthalmologists in the country, and they both vouch for the average safety of the procedure. And this is not in the shithole that is the USA, so they're not corrupt as fuck).

there's no question x% of LASIK operations go wrong (2% according to some other sources)
and a greater number still have secondary effects
stuff related to your vision has significant psychological ramifications, so you should never undergo any eye surgery without being mentally prepared for the possibility you might end up blind

Fuck that’s awful, it reminds me of my mom. My mother had brain cancer and had multiple brain surgeries because of a tumor. She said she felt like she had a giant hole in her head and wish she would’ve just been dead already.

I’m glad that when she did pass it was as peaceful as anyone could ask for

BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE.
very scary before the operation but completely painless.

Buy a book from Mirzakarim Norbekov and fix your goddamn eyesight with simple meditation.
The Western version (Bates Method) probably also works, but I went the sufi muslim route.
Poor eyesight is an indication of other health problems of yours, don't treat the symptom, fix yourself, it is an extremely quick process if you put your mind to it and dedicate an hour a day for several weeks.

What kind of shitty doctor did you have? It didnt hurt at all.

>i went from homebound kv neet meme to dating the perfect woman, traveling around the world, finding work being my own boss and doing what i love
He thinks glasses prevented him to do all this

I have a friend who did it and had post op problems. Went into depression because of this because of constant pain.

I want to get PRK but at 27 yo my vision still isnt stable. Contacts hurt my eyes. Going to wait another year to see if my eyes are finally done getting worse then im using crypto profits to get the past surgery I can afford in my area.

Got a full PRK took 3 weeks to heal.

After 6momths ended up with retinal detachment in right eye and a vitrectomy.
Left eye full of floating shit.

This was with a specialist not some arsehole cheap clinic.

Still I'm not wearing glasses now but right eye needs a op to replace the cornea(vitrectomy causes your cornea to eventually cloud over).

If you eyes are weak, be aware this could happen to you.

Claims of safety are bollocks when operators have a commercial interest in hiding bad data.

Those side effects...

OP do what you want, but remember that those side effects happen.

My advice, just keep the glasses at home and contact lenses with high water content when you go outside. Those 90% water content contact lenses, you really don't feel them. Check Dailies total, or Dailies aqua comfort plus (for also astigmatism).

The only situation when a perfect vision would be critically important would be in a post apocalyptic world. Other than that, for picking up women, doing sport, public speaking, traveling, good contact lenses are more than enough.

Lasik weakened over time so I had PRK and its been god mode for ten years. The people complaining about complications probably bought some groupon ass surgery or are untermenschen.

I was using biweekly hydrating for astigmatism contacts and they would still irritate my eyes after an hour or two.

I mean if you need Lasik in the first place you already are untermenschen

I did it/ Overall 9/10 but when watching tv in a dark room or streetlights at light I can see halos. Bit annoying but you get used to it and still miles better than glasses or contacts.

So did i. I had weekly or monthly lenses, brand Johnson Johnson. They weren't comfortable at all. They itched.

You didn't try the daily wear contact lenses, brand Dailies aqua comfort plus (for astigmatism).

It's like not having lenses at all. Just try.

>I can see halos.

This is why i don't do it.

Im waiting 10-20 years for the technology to mature and/or be taken over by super intelligent AI

I will thanks. Another big reason id like surgery is being outdoors. Im extremely near sighted and if I want to go swimming or sonething id need to take my contacts out/glasses off. I cant see shit unless its no more than a foot away from me

I had lasik

highly recommend

changed my fucking life

>implying you dont get halos with glasses on

19 yo with kinda shit eyesight. I can drive the car in the day with kinda no problems, but at night I can't see shit. It's kinda weird as well, sometimes my eyes feel ok/good, but sometimes they are so tired and dry. Also when I do this one hard blink, my vision sharpens even if my eyes are dry. Is it the eye water creating a better focus or something?

Anyway probably gonna get some lasik or whatever in the future when the tech is better. Atm I can just wear glasses when I need to drive at night or at some new place.

No i don't?

DONT DO IT

Is it smart just to do one eye of your other eye is near perfect.
