They're gauging Americas support of a war with Iran by provocation.

They know this is their only answer as the Fed is losing control of the dollar as global FX hedged yields have turned negative (this is the primary reason Europe, Russia, China, Japan are buying less and less treasuries).

With our massive expanding deficits and aging population, the Fed will have to monetize treasuries because obviously boomers dont want their retirement benefits cut and foreigners aren't buying our debt.

A war will be the only way to jusify the inevitable $2T$ deficits on the horizon, and Iran will be the scapegoat just as Iraq/Afghanistan were in the 2000s.

The kickback effect of such deficits will push oversea reserves of US dollars back into the United States and high oil prices will create inflation. Although, since all of our debt will become domestic, the dollar will fall, and treasury holders will take real losses (not nominal). Inflation will kick up and pump stocks, real estate, and gold. We will see an economy similar to the Bush era and then when all seems good and the US dollar strengthens again, we will be caught in a bubble and see a greater fall than 2008.

It will be glorious and very kosher.

If they were to actually look for reasons to grow the debt by $2 trillion, and they're worried about an aging population then why is war the only way to do that?

Fix modern men, teach them how to be men. Have government funded schools where they're taught practical skills/doing things with their hands. Have schools to teach them about the Arts and aspects of Philosophy. Have government funded upskilling schools which focus on STEM subjects through programs which have a clear career path. Run public outreach campaigns to understand why ageism is such a big and how it can be overcome in specific industries.

If men are made to be men, by having skills and values traditionally attributed to them reinforced into them through The State, that population concern can be somewhat abated.

Modern Warfare is a fucking joke, and that's not to say the soldiers have it "easier" these days. What I mean by that is that it's essentially just a match off over who has the best Missle Array systems, who has the best hackers, who has the flashiest new toys, or which retard actually uses nukes first. I don't view it as something where Tactics/Strategy matter that much anymore. While a career in the Military might be good for men, war itself is not really a place for Masculinity to be expressed anymore.

I'm just outlining the path we are going towards if the Fed starts to cut rates again. The alternative is even worse. But were basically at a point where the Fed has to grow their balance sheet again to finance the Federal governments deficit. In the past, we could easily finance the debt through selling treasuries to other nations, but yields have come down so much that when other countrys buy our treasuries and use a FX hedge, rates are actually negative. Now the reason the problem wasn't as prevalent before is that we didn't have to raise $9-10 Trillion+ every year like we do now, and it just keeps piling up. The Fed will launch another massive round of QE effectively financing our government. The dollar will fall, however that means real assets/stocks will rise because traders will try to take their handouts.

The alternative is the Fed doesn't cut rates and we head into recession, so the dollar index going down 10-20%, and stocks gaining 20-30% over the next 2 years is the preferred course of action, which is essentially what were on track to if they do indeed start rate cuts and QE.

If war with Iran were to be where some of that money is put to use, seems like a dumb thing to do. Better to focus on dealing with the aging population issue.

Its net bullish for crypto, just like gold. If the dollar index continues downwards, people will seek alternative assets because obviously treasuries will be burning a hole in their pockets.

I'm that user you responded to. Where my conclusions like come from are things like Desert Storm, where the Air Force did much of the overall fighting against a somewhat modernized army, and the fact that Communication Hubs, that form things like The Internet, haven't really existed through much of history (or not to the same extent). Things like that now targets; Data Centres are now targets; computers which control missle launch systems and power grids are now targets. Those things haven't really existed throughout history (although you could argue Libraries were forms of Data Centres), to disrupt an enemy's fighting ability you had deploy in a manner to block their Supply Line/access to Ports.

And again, to be clear, I'm not saying any of the experiences soldiers in Modern Warfare, whether in their training, or actual fighting, are any "easier" than what men went through in the past. In fact, personally I don't believe I could function and communicate effectively after continual artillery barrages.

You also mention 1914, which is quite interesting, as arguably why the death toll was so horrific in WW1 (particularly in things the battle of the Somme) was because Tactics/Strategy hadn't really adjusted to the realities of things like machine guns and more powerful artillery. Men literally got out of ditches and advanced into fire to take ground (after artillery barrages of the enemy) and would get torn to pieces by things like machine guns.

War does change, and I'd argue it's now reached the point where there's nothing really left of what could be viewed as made it somewhat "worthwhile", in the past.

An aging population has implications for things like government expenditure and burden on the healthcare system.

If it's truly going be a growing issue, then steps should be taken to try and help younger people (especially men) get together and form families, because that is what underlies a healthy Society.

If those stats of millenials having less sex, and more of us with our parents for longer periods, are true, then steps need to be taken to solve those issues.

Rather than spend money on Modern Warfare, it should be put use on making men better, so that family structure is more likely to form.
