that's not what it does. The datasets doesn't contain asset prices, it contains co-relation coefficients and they are huge. The service provides such datasets updated by the second which is why somebody can't just acquire one or recreate it and then re-sell it as it would be outdated by then. Markets are dynamic and such hidden relationships can change overnight.

No they really aren't. Read the fucking whitepaper, check out the Telegram, open a conversation with Kasian, and you will find out that these correlations are based on vectors derived from relations discovered through the use of Natural Language Processing. The higher the Euclidean distance value between the vectors of 2 cryptos/stocks, the higher the correlation.
This correlation is represented by a coefficient which ranges between 0(no known correlation) and 1(very strong correlation).
