Is this tech jumping on the anti-Russo bandwagon?

Seen a video in another thread where Youtube felt the need to post pic related? Is this government mandated or suggested? This to me is a step in the direction of conflict, not a good look, Google.

Will they include notifications about how some videos are funded by AIPAC?

I won't mind the notification if it also showed up on other news streams for other channels like the bbc

What do you think?

this is just good transparency, who wants information to be hidden?

This is the problem. It's done similar to putting a warning label on a pack of cigarretes

Reveal all the donors or sponsors, problem solved

...

Its only transparency for anti-Russian sentiments. They don't display this warning for every other network to show where they get their funding from.

The reason why there's no message for CNN and other Western media outlets is because the message would cover the whole fucking screen

Now check out NPR and PBS videos

Can Youtube mention one media outlet that isn't shilling for an agenda?
Also, tried verifying it and I don't get that warning on any videos, not even the on in OP.

I'd go screenshot every state run channel in europe and N America for funsies, but effort.

I got one the other day saying the channel was funding in part or whole by the Iranian govt

And AIPAC still isn't registered under FARA.

They will link to wikipedia articles on "controversial topics" to fight fake news.

University professors on suicide watch

Of course.

Little bit of a softer message on PBS

Attached: Screenshot_20180419-113207.jpg (1073x744, 201K)

Uhm didn't these Youtube sweeties go to school at all past preschool? I remember middle school teachers saying you would fail an essay if you cited Wikipedia as a source. What is it with leftists and thinking there is authoritative facts on the internet?

>RT is a publicly funded Russian broadcaster
why didn't hey just put this lol, guess it doesn't sound as sinister huh.

Could you check for AIPAC youtube.com/watch?v=FYIw9UMf-do

I get nothing

based counter-semite of peace

Nothing. This is how Google can shit on RT while nudging PBS and saying "be cool".

Considering most of you are Russian shills, how do you expect tech to respond?

Russia has so many bots and spreads so much fake news that tech companies have a responsibility to alert their consumers when propaganda is being petteled on their platforms.

Maybe a blanket statement telling people to think critically and check sources before consuming videos and interpreting them as fact.

>Publicly funded
Ok, sounds better
>Government funded
EVIL RUSSIAN PROPAGANDA

They both mean the same thing.

Fucking go and shoot up YT again and make sure to get that slimy hag Susan.

does this only show up in America? When I go to those vids I don't get this message

Except it is pretty much guaranteed that it will be highly biased in what is revealed.

For example I do not see a similar notification when it comes to the German state TV or the BBC.

90% of fake news or even more is just clickbait by websites looking to make a quick buck from Google AdSense.
Now piss off with that bullshit.

It's not onlyor RT.

PBS and al jazeera have the same notification in respect to their government

>see opinion I don't agree with
>must be a russian troll
kek I remember reading an article that claimed the bad user score on rotten tomatoes for the last jedi and last years ghostbusters were the result of a sinister russian force.

I guess this shows only for Americans. Other nations' people seem to understand what is real just fine.

Less soft on external propaganda.

It does.

Seems to be only people from the US are seeing it. Try watching with a US proxy

The absolute state of jewtube, eventually it's all going to blow up in their faces and I'll laugh my ass off when it does.

I've already posted about the differences

They only do this for media that is publicly funded. BBC, PBS, CBC, and Al Jazeera have similar disclaimers

how Orwellian for you

Because RT gets most of it's budget directly through the government and not taxes

It's word for word with anything that isn't US

Attached: image.jpg (1210x197, 37K)

oh and where does the russian government get its money from?

Could they at least do that for all governments?

jewtubes still mad about the time Jow Forums hacked them and posted gayporn everywhere

Are you literally retarded or just pretending?

It appearing mainly for US viewers and having a specific message for the US tells me that the narrative they would like to push is that US news is the only news that should be trusted. I will leave you all to your own thoughts on this.

US too sometimes:

I didn't know it was a thing until I watched this video. (It's in Spanish, sorry)

YouTube is literally Hitler. The Nazis were doing the exact same thing by marking Jewish businesses and thus discrediting them.
