I'm in a job in which I work with them every day. The people that qualify for medicaid in my state are truly bottom-of-the-barrel. I try to respect them as fellow human beings and treat them with as much care as I do anyone else, but it's tough when you're at the end of the day and yet another impatient retard rolls in that doesn't appreciate the assistance their getting and doesn't understand how things work. And somehow, someway, I hear about these same people getting new cars and taking vacations, getting their hair and nails done, spending money like a normal person instead of saving. Ignorance and poor discipline are pervasive, and they are only holding themselves back.

Ocasio-Cortez would blame rich people for not doing enough, but even if you gave all these people a million dollars, at least half would be right back in the pit a few years later. You can't fix stupid.

There is, however, the 1/5 who are perfectly normal, intelligent people who are dealing with hard times and trying to improve themselves, but it's unusual, relatively speaking. We need more litmus tests and devices to disqualify people from aid so that only the deserving receive it.
