If you are on .5mg Xanax once every 2 hours as needed for anxiety episodes, and you take 4 at once and get loopy and cal asleep, that is “over dosing”, even though you are absolutely fine.

Even in an opiod naive individual, one could dose up to 100 milligrams and suffer no physical damage. The only thing you would risk is aspiration: turning on your side when you inevitably fall asleep and vomit will prevent this.
