Because Israel rejected God, he rejected them and gave their promised leadership role in the world to others - the Gentile empires. The bible never states that anytime after they rejected Jesus and were scattered across the world that they would recover before Revalations rolls around and the world ends. From what we know of the history of blacks is how frought with slavery it has been with the Trans-Atlantic slave trade following on the heels of the Arab slave trade, both lasting centuries. There was slavery that even brought them into India and some parts of East Asia and who knows where else. When February rolls around for black history everything is about slavery,-nothing else. And for quite some time now it is white European nations that have had the most authority on earth while blacks living within these societies are relegated to the bottom. When Daniel mentions the fourth and last nation to rule the earth, the demographics sound strikingly similar to American with it's racial divide.
Daniel 2;40-43
"Finally, there will be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron—for iron breaks and smashes everything—and as iron breaks things to pieces, so it will crush and break all the others.Just as you saw that the feet and toes were partly of baked clay and partly of iron, so this will be a divided kingdom; yet it will have some of the strength of iron in it, even as you saw iron mixed with clay. As the toes were partly iron and partly clay, so this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle. And just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay."
