I was working when the news came in that Trump won Florida. I said "well, that's it then, Trump's won".
I wish I were fucking joking when I say this, but the girl I was working with started fucking crying. I shit you not. I knew that kind of shit existed, but I thought it was very rare and generally confined to the USA. She started rambling in between tears about how it'd be unsafe for any gay people all over the world and that World War 3 will be happening and spent the next 2 hours in the bathroom crying.
She had two degrees with distinction and before that I had thought she was generally rather smart.
I got chewed out by HR for "not being emotionally supportive in a time of crisis" so I gave my notice and quit.
Then I got a better job with better hours and better pay. All thanks to Donald Trump.

I was in disbelief. I really wanted Trump to win for the lulz. Then it started happening... and kept happening. I was literally in bed watching the news on my iPad waiting for the end result. Then, it got even better! Clinton lost her shit and abandoned her people. Then, begrudgingly, she called Mr. MAGA himself and gave up.
This was the singlehandtly the biggest upset I have ever seen in my left. Polls going from 99% Clinton to 1% in a matter of hours. Butthurt pundents on every channel and all over YouTube.
