So I got bored a couple of days ago and decided to watch some marines combat/patrol videos and couldn't help but to notice almost every soldier was white contrary to the country being 60% white. Do blacks serve mostly for the Army instead or something? I would expect to see atleast a bit more of them out there. Sounds like a dumb question I know, but any marine anons here to inform? Does whatever bootcamp you went to make a difference?

No. Combat arms is mostly white. The USMC doesn't have as many pogs (a lot of their support units are Navy), thus the USMC is whiter, but only because their pog to grunt ratio is better.

If I had to guess, it's because by in large there is a larger percentage of them there to serve their country. Politically infantry units tend to be more right wing too. I'd say the right wing to left win ratio in most infantry units is a good 50/1.
Think about it like this. If you were just going to go into the military for gibs, would you pick a combat mos, where your odds of getting killed are high, or would you pick a pog mos, where it's unlikely that you'll ever be deployed?

No. After boot camp you go to School of Infantry. Grunts to Infantry Training Battalion for their school, everyone else does a 3 week abbreviated infantry course and then goes to their MOS School. Once that's over they go to the "fleet" with their operational unit.
Parris Island and San Diego depend on where in the country you're from. Roughly east and west of the Mississippi river, but not exactly
