I met my only ex-gf a year ago at a friend's birthday party. After that my friends pretty much did all the work of inviting her and me around and practically bullying me into asking her out.

The music forum was a popular EDM forum in australia in around 2005, had sections for most major cities events and gatherings. I think we just noticed eachother going to a lot of the same events or talking about similar artists and hit it off then met up at a festival.
