It's terrible. Circumcision needs to be something that only an adult can consent to have done to themselves. The 1996 female circumcision ban in the US violates the 14th amendment, by only protecting females from genital mutilation. The law needs to be made gender neutral. An adult should be able to do whatever they want to their own body, but children need to be protected. Iceland is about to outlaw male genital mutilation for anyone under 18.
