Trump's civic nationalism is the best you're going to get until we get closer to 50/50. But even then it's not terrible considering the vast majority of people who are "civically" american (IE subscribe to fundamental american values) are white.

Your understanding of the party situation is fundamentally flawed. The GOP of today is not the GOP of 10 years ago, it is undergoing a fundamental shift. This happens about every 80 years or so. Recall the democrats were the party of state's rights during the civil war. Trump's hijacking of the party was the catalyst that will see the GOP converted to an explicitly populist nationalist (and implicitly white) party. Look at all the republicans that refused to run for re-election in the mid terms. Look at the new republicans running on Trump's platform. Look at kikes like John McCain dying off.

For all intents and purposes, the GOP is already the white party vs the democrat's diversity alliance. There is no going back to interventionist neoconservatism. Not after Trump.
