US Coalition sets up new military base along Syrian border – PMU official
BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:00 A.M.) – The U.S. Coalition has setup a new military base along the Iraqi-Syrian border, Farhan Mahd al-Deilami, a member of Anbar province Council, told the Arabic-language Al-Ma’aloumah news site on Sunday.
According to the official from the Popular Mobilization Units (var. Hashd Al-Sha’abi), the U.S. Coalition base was setup in the western countryside of the Al-Anbar Governorate.
They further reported that the US has deployed a surprising number of troops on the northern bank of the Euphrates River, putting them within 30 km of al-Ramanah region, which is near the town of al-Qa’em at border with Syria.
Are you going poor form the fuel consumption? Considering it doesnt use diesel.
Jason Young
No because it has LPG installed otherwise I wouldnt buy it. But there are Nivas with 1,9 diesel engine, altough its weaker than benzin variant and less reliable, like all diesel engines.
Julian Hall
Ah ok. I saw a very rare lada niva pickup here last year. Looked really good i would own one of those to be honest.

Pickups look really weird, for me classic one is better since it has closed top. And its really all terrain vehicle, there is no luxury in them, if you dont go off-road often or have to drive in winter conditions a lot then its better to have a normal car. But I love Ladas.

Ruptly youtube.com/watch?v=YTNdS3aMhkg Member of the Yemeni government delegation at the Yemen peace talks in Sweden, Ali Ashal, confirmed that progress was made on a possible prisoner swap with the Houthi delegation, while speaking to the press on the fourth day of the UN-backed Yemen peace talks in Rimbo on Sunday.
"There was a direct face-to-face meeting between members of the prisoners committee, since the agreement [on prisoners exchange] was a success. Right now the meeting is going on with the participation of a representative of the Red Cross" he said, adding "the committee is working on the procedures to implement this agreement, and that's why there was a face-to-face meeting. More meetings may follow, and there may follow the handing over of lists with the names of the detainees, and these lists may be revised in accordance with the agreement."
The UN-backed Yemen peace talks, aimed at putting an end to the country's four-year-old conflict, are expected to run until December 13. According to UN Envoy Martin Griffiths, the key issues to be discussed during the Rimbo peace talks on Yemen are further confidence-building measures, including an agreement on the exchange of prisoners, and the reopening of the Sanaa airport, among others.

Ruptly youtube.com/watch?v=YBvwiLzCN84 Hundreds of people have been visiting a Grotto of the Nativity in Damascus in anticipation of Christmas Day in the Syrian capital. Set up in the cellar of the Prophet Elias Church, the man-made cave houses Nativity displays, Christmas trees, and other Christian-themed installations.
"We are trying to make new things and create new ideas while keeping the core of the grotto intact," said leader of the drums in the Mar Elias Protocol Band, George Markabawi whose band members had worked on the installations and displays for more than two months. The grotto was established in 2004 and is visited by some 500 to 600 people every day and is set to run until January 4, 2019.

AP Archive youtube.com/watch?v=mgltNJw32wc NATO foreign ministers met on Tuesday to debate ways to dissuade Moscow from destabilising Ukraine and respect a landmark Cold-war era nuclear treaty. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his NATO partners will hold talks with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin as Kiev seeks international support for its Black Sea confrontation with Russia.
Russian border guards last week fired on three Ukrainian navy vessels in the Black Sea near the Russia-occupied Crimea. The vessels and the crews were captured. But it is unclear what more NATO would do beyond the sea patrols and air policing that it already does in the region.

>I can spot him from a mile away. you should too by now.
I've never paid that much attention to personalities here, or irl, especially those who pretend to be something else. more trouble than it's worth.
I didn't change my mind. I've consistently said there is a time and place for everything, and certain times (war) require sobriety. we are approaching a turning point soon, ~catastrophe. I'm off caffeine and alcohol too.
other times select for drugs. they are (trans)formative (especially appropriate for younger years, coming into being). that said, I expect I will probably drink alcohol after the war too, assuming I survive, just probably not like I did before it, etc.
Every single one that supports the doctrine of said puppet regimes.

it's not just the war but these things go together. see synchronicity~, "time conditions"
peacetime selects for quiet transformation and tolerates a good deal of weakness. weed is weakening in the short-term, even if it's necessary for overall growth. it's weakening in the short-term because it clogs lungs and veins, and also because the effect on the brain. similar to caffeine. makes you feel positive. that's a fine thing when learning to progress through this or that (because overall life is good), but in a crisis one must not be telling himself that everything is actually ok. one must be alert and responsive to fear, pain, etc. and one must be able to operate physically uninhibited (with clear lungs). caffeine also raises blood pressure. in a crisis your blood pressure will be raised already, you don't need the extra pressure then.
alcohol is violence, creative destruction. in a war, also superfluous. it also weakens the heart (a natural counter-balance to the effects of caffeine)
the war (ww3) will control our life whether we like it or not. it's not a delusion, the evidence is public knowledge. better to prepare now. an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
terrible song
Liam Thompson
*but in a crisis one must not be telling himself *artificially that everything is actually ok.
things are still ok, even in a crisis/catastrophe, but you don't want to be complacent then..

within months, I'm guessing. but I've been expecting something for a long time, so who knows..?
things continue to escalate, and moving forward it will become increasingly clear
all-out ww3 tho (see Clausewitz)..? won't last more than a few hours.
>As the use of physical power to the utmost extent by no means excludes the co-operation of the intelligence, it follows that he who uses force unsparingly, without reference to the quantity of bloodshed, must obtain a superiority if his adversary does not act likewise. By such means the former dictates the law to the latter, and both proceed to extremities, to which the only limitations are those imposed by the amount of counteracting force on each side.
A real world war 3 would consist of a complete breakdown of all markets and societies, with the strongest countries vying to maintain themselves and survive and using that opportunity to take over the world's resources through strength.
Oh, and an assassination would probably suit well in order to start things off.
Austin Rivera
based, enough of this hysteria, it will never happen.

Our main problem is that we are dinosaurs. We laughed at neocohens/neoliberals, considering their ideology and actions as outdated kikerism, despite the fact that we fell into same trap. We still believe that full power is in the hands of government, although this hasnt been case for a long time.

>there isn't crisis yet
right, but see we won't have much warning to prepare for all-out war. I'm still clearing weed out of my system and I haven't smoked since August. withdrawal even from caffeine takes weeks, makes you fuzzy-headed etc. you don't want to be inhibited by drugs or in withdrawal when war is happening
>it won't affect anyone in Kansas.
this isn't ww2. yes it will. skies will be dark. volcanoes, pandemics, fallout..
nazis took meth. the nazis lost. physical endurance is hardly the only part of the equation. war is first and foremost an intellectual problem. our tools are products of the mind. we put lions and bears in cages, they are far more physically capable than humans
>Alcohol a shit, it's poison for morons who can't express themselves without it.
it's more than that. caffeine is a diuretic (squeezes the veins). alcohol is the opposite, being lighter than water. the two naturally go together. people who drink caffeine are more likely to drink beer to balance themselves.
beyond that, it is creative destruction. kills weak brain cells? helps accelerate rewiring of the brain, developmental growth etc. eg. drinking is common among university students, transitioning from a life of childhood dependency to independence and adulthood. as long as you don't get stuck (perpetually addicted) and let it drag you down, it serves a purpose. addiction to any drug is inhibiting, for that matter..
also, in moderation it is supposed to be healthy, and many great men have consumed alcohol regularly into old age.
>Sure, except it's never going to happen.
have you studied history? war happens. why would this time be different? human nature has not changed. as we wait, technology only becomes more powerful and widespread (into less responsible hands)
anything interesting happening with israel right now? last i heard they opened fire on lebanese soldiers on the southern border and netanyahu is desperate for some new distraction from domestic affairs. will lebanon become the new front for proxy conflicts? both KSA and Israel have stressed the urgency to remove hezbollah and iranian influence from Lebanon. or is this going to remain a tense stalemate for the next few years? also first for manouche
>A real world war 3 would consist of a complete breakdown of all markets and societies
yes including the "strongest countries".
>using that opportunity to take over the world's resources through strength.
nah, "vying to maintain themselves and survive" is right. the world's resources will be under radioactive, volcanic clouds of darkness..tsunamis? at that point, people aren't going to be running around trying to grab this or that. just surviving will be hard enough
>an assassination
I've been saying Trump will probably be killed by the Kremlin soon. he's about to be indicted, his usefulness is coming to an end. going down in disgrace does not serve Putin. but as a martyr, with the case against him unprosecuted? dangerous times we're in. American bureaucracy is slow and deliberate. it's a weakness in war.
We still believe that full power is in the hands of government
enough is. who has access to nuclear weapons, bioweapons, and other even more advanced technology (autonomous killer bots, etc.)?
>There are no World Wars anymore
and ww1 was the "war to end all wars". didn't happen that way either.
>Tfw the government has agreed to issue a forced conscription(draft) next year I-is this a sign that something is happening or is about to? i'm most likely gonna get drafted it seems kek

war in Lebanon is only a last resort since Israeli generals and analysts have repeatedly stressed that the Israeli home front is going to have a rough time in any future war. Right now they are focusing on internal political opposition to Hezbollah, earlier this year some documents leaked showing gulfies funding anti-Hezbollah parties, and IIRC they are making a move on Hezbollah's Christian and Sunni allies recently
