This is a good thing. With Patreon shutting down figureheads on the right, it gets harder for them to continue to make money while influencing people, while the left continues uninhabited.
The real question is will Petersons Patreon alternative allow more "controversial" figures like Faith Goldy on their platform. If they don't provide an equal platform for donations to people like that, then Peterson can shove it.
