>tfw there will never be a more A E S T H E T I C aircraft than the V-22
Tfw there will never be a more A E S T H E T I C aircraft than the V-22
I mean it is pretty fucking amazing looking.
Wrong.
This is now a V-22 wreakage thread.
>cockpit still intact
A successful failure
You're so autistic you don't realize that in the word "Aesthetic"'s definition there is nothing referencing functionality.
You mean there will never be a worse designed, more dangerous, corrupt waste of money than this shit.
Form follows function
Looks like a bobsled
OHNONONONONO
No shit, but that's besides the point. It just looks cool
Which is why its fucking dumb to even appreciate aesthetics when it comes to functional things.
the "aircraft" part does.
the wings are on backwards lol
Fucking sperglords in here. Fine, I concede.
V22: They expect one of us in the wreckage brother
it's a piece of shit
It looks retarded because it is retarded.
For (You)
Which is a complete ripoff of the Convair XFY-1 Pogo
X-29*
Its got more deaths on it than any other aircraft......
its so they can fly in reverse
The a-10 and f-22 are perfect in their own field.
>1 prototype
Monsieur Concorde reporting in.
It's so it can retreat faster.
Checked
It is indeed quite similar I always felt the SU-47 had the edge in the looks department being younger though.
Yes.
aestetic
hey guys sorry I'm late
Drakens still exist. So V-22 will never be the most aesthetic aircraft.
Aesthetic exists in tandem with function. This is what leak performance looks like.
Literally the most aesthetic vehicle ever crafted.
hard to argue with that statement
>LEWD!
that's gonna leave a mark...it's true though. the russkies aren't much better than the chinks
Louis H. Sullivan -- form follows function
>This is what leak performance looks like.
You know nothing about leak performance kiddo.
THICC
i hate that word but it describes this plane so well
If I'm strafing Poles, however, I want a Junkers Ju-87. Best tool for the job.
THIS IS NOW A TR-3B THREAD
what the fuck am i looking at here?
huh?
your looking at a shoop m9
Great plane for geriatrics. Bill Dana flew that thing in 90's, well past retirement age. Picture tangengially related.
>what the fuck am i looking at here?
Photoshop for tinfoil hat people.
oh I figured that, I was just confused at how the next post had the filename of TR-3B but showed the space shuttle. and it was a different user posting.
be nice to the hornet!
ayyy
...
Forgot pic
this thread needs more ruskie planes
shit, wrong pic
didn't realize it was from a game at first
Has no one here experienced an erection before?
Do you realize that there is good chance that specific quite heavily modified Hornet is flown the last dinosaur of test pilots in that picture. Bill Dana was the lead test pilot on Hornet high alpha research vehicle. Guy was literally the last remnant 50's and 60's, from the days when test pilots dying was a daily thing. He also flew F-15 HIDEC and F-16 AFTI.
>BBC Russia
based cancer wasp agrees
faggots have cancer now
Don't worry, Mosquito. I still like you.
No B-1?
I wasn't aware that's what you were referencing to. Cool info to know. Happy i took the time to look into the High alpha f-18 and the HIDEC. Honestly thought that F-18 was a prototype, not a thrust vectoring test plane. Learn something new everyday. I just had that picture saved in my planes folder because the paint job looked cool lol
this better?
bad photoshop.
NASA has habit of using same airframe for multiple projects, when one program ends, they might use same airframe for another program/experiment. Same goes with USAF. USAF also has habit of rolling multiple quite unrelated programs into apparently one program, there are politics behind it and funding considerations. F-16AFTI for example was revamped multiple times for different purposes. Originally it was supposed to support further F-16 development, later on it turned out to be avionics testbed for F-22 and then for JSF program leading to F-35.
R&D for planes is very interesting. I'm excited to see what the B-21 will be capable of. I hope it won't just be incremental improvements on the B-2. I often find myself dreaming about what skunk works and DARPA will come up with next. Kinda sad that pilot-less aircraft seem to be the future.
>I hope it won't just be incremental improvements on the B-2.
It will be more or less an affordable B-2, given everything that is out there. Bit smaller, but generally it will be budget B-2. B-2 was ruined by politicians. Imagine situation where there is two guys. One republican and one democrat. One flew B-17 in WWII and other flew B-24. Those guys being in charge of funding the next generation bomber. When B-1 was resurrected those two guys were told that low level penetration was the future of bombers. When they were told about B-2, they dictated that low level flight performance was the priority. In case of B-2 that meant optimizing wing to different altitude, as plane was a fucking flying wing, it meant essentially re-designing entire thing. That led to 5 years delay even without cutting the budget. Then B-2 became the most overbudget thing in defence spending.
>The jet version
Those huge propellers tho...
>Mig 31
Seriously? No one?
525 flight hours as enlisted aircrew here, AMA
>picture is mine, but not of me
The weapons and their arrangement disturbs my autism
Why would you dox your buddy to Jow Forums?
>500 hours
lmao. i got more flight hours as a crew chief. fuck off
>ywn blast spaghetti niggers over Africa in your personal warplane with YIPPEE written fucking written on it

That’s one mean fucking tree!
Sorry I only have eyes for the SR-71 BB.
These are, objectively, the most aesthetic planes the US has ever produced. Fight me.
