Camden Morris
Microsoft did the same to other browsers in the 90s.
Daniel Long
edge is written to run like a sandbox and ie is deeply rooted in ths OS
Edge is actually a great browser, much better than Chrome technically. The problem is with bullshit "web standards" constantly changing.
Carter Jackson
Bing is actually pretty good- since no one remembers it exists no one bothers to issue DMCA takedowns to it.
Eli Cruz
what's the best browser?
Brave is pretty good imho
Blake Hall
IE has a shit ton of legacy code to make ancient websites work. Corporations pay million to make IE still work so they don't have to reprogram their website from early 2000s. Same with Microsoft Office.
Edge is like, throw all that legacy shit in the garbage. I'm kinda sad it's dying. It had the best touchscreen experience, and the best battery performance. It also provided competition against chrome/firefox, when it started implementing new web features (async await was a great one). However, chrome quickly won back the title of new web features. Since it's dying it means having to check your code on one less browser though.

yeah no, i'll stick with startpage

>Brave is pretty good imho
brave doesnt look bad, but it seems they will update it very sparsely unlike chrome.
that's not a good thing
Andrew Perry
I just started using it so idk about that
it has built in tor tabs though so that's a nice touch, especially since redpilled websites are getting purged here
Josiah Perry
>using a Google proxy
LMAO
Christian Turner
Kike #1 or kike #2
Isaiah Cook
I hate google, but sure.
Adrian Powell
I think they threw out their own developments in Brave and replaced it with a somewhat degooglified Chrome in the last update.
I don't know whether this is good or bad.
Nicholas Anderson
I find edge runs really slow if your webpage has a lot of controls in it (checkboxes, dropdowns) compared to chrome.
If you click a single checkbox, it has to redraw all of them it seems.
Aiden Stewart
unironically edge if you're using Windows 10. Nothing is cleaner, more secure or faster.
Josiah Lopez
chrome interface is pretty good
nah I kept 7
Jose Hill
same way they sabbotage everyone cause they own the web resources used by all the people and get like 40% of ALL web traffic
time for antitrust court
Jaxon Morris
>I just started using it so idk about that

Tried Brave some time ago, didn't really like it and had some problem with it, so i uninstalled it. It was an older version, might give it another try with the newest version (did'nt know for tor tabs) as i'm looking for a backup browser (based on chormium if possible).
I'm running since forever Firefox, with addons and more privacy focused settings, works great, still one of fthe best browser.
Also i have tor browser, still usefull.
Kevin Flores
Im on a windows 10 insignia tablet and edge runs like absolute shit, but I do like the touch elements. Everything in it is just sooooooooo slowwwwww though, I don't get it
Matthew Price

It is over.

It's probably how they claim good battery life, since there is a performance/power consumption trade off.

Lynx.

For example, they recently added a hidden empty div over YouTube videos that causes our hardware acceleration fast-path to bail (should now be fixed in Win10 Oct update). Prior to that, our fairly state-of-the-art video acceleration put us well ahead of Chrome on video playback time on battery, but almost the instant they broke things on YouTube, they started advertising Chrome's dominance over Edge on video-watching battery life. What makes it so sad, is that their claimed dominance was not due to ingenious optimization work by Chrome, but due to a failure of YouTube. On the whole, they only made the web slower.

>Trillion dollar market cap

If it weren't for that cloud shit they'd still be as irrelevant as they were five years ago.
Brody Reed
here's another fun one. try typing "hillary clinton emails" into google and other search engines and watch the autocomplete.
Jeremiah Hernandez
it's working fine for me
currently trying to get Jow Forums x but idk if userscripts are supported
any of those got tor tabs and Jow Forums x?

I loved Brave. It was my favorite Browser, but about a month ago it got an update and, well, now it goes off Google's infrastructure. It also took away options (such as deleting history after every session). Does not seem as secure, though it is still fast, it now lacks the additional security that I came to expect from it.
Firefox is the best alternative, but it is funded by Soros and is filled by an SJW dev team that was originally responsible for the CEO leaving and making Brave, incidentally enough. Too bad Brave is going down the Google path now. At least the base is Chromium based and not straight up Chrome though! I think Edge is following suit, so I would not recommend that either.
Long story made abrupt, I would recommend pale moon or Opera.
Grayson Mitchell
By the way on Win10 you have both Edge and IE11. Tried to get ride of IE11 but it seems it's not possible. I dont use Edge either, still wanted to keep it just in case (i think it's also the pdf reader by default in Win10)... Seriously fuck Microsoft and Google, so much shit comes with Win10, cant do nothing.
I'm more concerned about privacy recently and actually thinking to switch to a Linux or BSD distro, but i'm a noob on all of this, don't know anything. Should I try? If someone has some advices...

All Firefox addons(including legacy addons) work on waterfox
All chrome addons work on the other 2.

Kayden Gray
All browsers are shit. All of them.

I am not feeling so good sir microsoft lol
Mason Long
>All chrome addons work on the other 2.
Are you sure? Looking for a chormium back up browser righ now, was looking at Iridium and ungoogled chomium, heard that you can't install addon on ungoogled just like that, need to do something special with the code or something, and also there is no auto updates or something (addon or browser don't know)?? Ture or not?
Also running basic Firefox, is it really a plus to switch to water or pale moon? Updates...? Also wanted to try them.
Lucas Sanders
Fuck windows 10 and fuck edge.
Poo in loos turn tech into trash.
Kayden Russell
adopting the google layout doesn't mean they're sharing data though
does it?
thx I'll consider those then
Ian Allen
Fun facts: Look up Jow Forums on Bing, you can't find it. Bing took it down since they find it too offensive.
Evan Sanchez
Afaik, it’s not as easy as installing on chrome, but you can.
Last time I used chromium based browser was a long time ago, though.
Ethan Torres
We need all the tech giants to destroy each other.
Leo Davis
So fork netrunner
Also waterfox receives feature updates really late, compared to Firefox, but you get all security updates quickly.
Since I hate what Mozilla is doing with Firefox, I don’t care about feature updates. Oh and Mozilla bullshit, such as the pocket thing is removed.
Josiah Martinez
is bing /our/browser?
based bing!
David Robinson
text browsers like elinks, lynx or a regular browser with styles sheets and javascript disabled. Yes, you can still browse and post on pol with js disabled. Just way more tedious though.
Chrome is a voluntary botnet and brave isn't too far behind.
Isaiah Carter
Worked for me...
Logan Perry
>netrunner
That's some third party Debian testing mixed up with Ubuntu.
No thx bucko.

>thinks async await was a 'new' feature
oh you poor zoomer. Async code for MS has been around since the 90s.
William White
based
keep the newfag scum out
Julian Murphy
Microsoft in the 90s got slapped with anti-trust threats for straight out scaring ignorant users with false information about using second party browsers and how they would "bog down" windows systems and automatically open them to attacks and viruses. Something their in-house browsers and telecom programs were even better at all on their own.
Eli Wood
Ubuntu mate is nice. It reminds me of pre unity times and hardy heron.
Elijah Richardson
IE: old gay Microsoft shit that works marginally
Edge: NEW! gay Microsoft shit that works marginally

Firefox, or Seamonkey if you use Linux like me

Lynx is still available? I haven't seen that on any system since about 2003

Why would you use a textbased browser for an image board?

New Firefox: the shit that starts spying on you for customer protection against spying.
Camden Hall
They are all the same thing. Windows is making a huge comeback thanks to a revitalized interest and general uptrend of low-level programmers... If Google, which filled up their brand new facility in my city with niggers from Denver, wants to play around with Microsoft, they can suck a huge dick. That being said; whoever sucks up to the SJW's harder will almost certainly be the first casualty in the battles of tech singularity...
Matthew Gutierrez
Microsoft is more redpilled, extremely jewish of google to sabotage their competitors.
No excuse for using chrome unless you're an elementary child or support literal kikes.
Aiden Gomez
i would never believe a group of such people could ever put together a single piece of code
Christopher Sanders
Opera is fucking trash. The only advantage it has is a built-in VPN you can somewhat trust.

Bing video & image search is superior to googles
Bing is the only search engine that doesn't constantly hide or bury certain results
>muh startpage, muh duckduckgo
these are just scrapers who leech results from google, they aren't real search engines & have little to no web crawlers
and duckduckgo is certainly run by a data selling jew
seriously go try bing video search vs googles, especially with porn
We must support bing
Wyatt Perry
No wonder you hid the resolution, it's 1600x900

This. High-res videos cause artifacts to appear.
Jackson Robinson
i must be retarded but i cant literally find anything relevant to what im looking for on Bing
Gavin Lee
So what browser is better than fucking chrome that also allows me to use a way to stop ads?
Owen Miller
Google doing this with every browser they can't control. That's how they killed original Opera.
Christopher Williams
I find this amusing. MicroSoft being MicroShafted. They got near monopoly on office software, browsers and e-mail software in 90's by sabotaging competitors.
