Morphological differences are a matter of degree, and as I said before, they are relatively more studied (and noticed) in humans than other species, to the extent that there is an entire field of anatomy for humans and not others. Are either of you *really* educated enough in differences between East African and Eurasian jackal species to make this comparison? I'm not, but a quick search shows that just comparing two photographs in a relatively similar pose does not really list the differences with much rigor:

If you looked up a distinction like OPs, you would actually find there is a lot of debate over the classification of such species within taxonomy, because our classification schemes are not even close to being non-arbitrary, and typing OBJECTIVE in all caps doesn't change that. Also, they are listed as different subspecies, not different species, which is an important distinction. There's also the fact that canine genetic diversity as a whole is much larger than human genetic diversity.
