Let's try something

Let's try something.

I'm part of a project to create a new political party here in Chile.

I have the task to write the declaration of principles and the rules and regulations, there is someone here that is capable of discussing this with me?

This isn't a larp this it's a real political party, yet it's not a right wing party it has right wing people in it but it's more left inclined, so no ethnostate in it, I wonder if you can even discuss something like that.

What do you hope to accomplish?

Wyatt Butler

Just wanna see what /pol can discuss I still have to write both the declaration of principles and the regulations for the party.

Meaning I have to determine how the internal organization of the party works, I assumed it was an interesting project for people who likes to discuss politics.

You're stepping in a world of pain my Chilean fren.
I'm intrigued, but not keen to do your homework.
As a friendly advice, you'd better start armed militias instead of creating a party.

pol is Right wing Reactionary. I'm not sure this is the place for articulating your left wing platform.

Of course I am but that's politics, arguing with you people and then arguing with my own party and then with the opposition it's in the job description.

I don't want you to make my job for me or even be a part of it (you aren't even in Chile and only citizens can sign to start a party here) yet this it's just talking and you people discuss left platforms all the time.

I would say make a anti bank populist party and just focus on that. One issue parties are good at uniting people as long as its a major cause. After the bank issue is solved you and pivot to other populist talking points. I prefer the idea of modern Jacksonian Democracy but I am in the USA .

Patria Vieja was Liberal, Nationalistic and Catholic. But was squashed by the spaniards. The Logia, OHiggins and San Martin, afterwards in the Patria Nueva, set up Carrera and we got an authoritaristic and militaristic cultureless country ever since, no wonder the youth flees to outside ideologies like marxism or ultra-liberalism. Look up the values of that illustrated Chile!

Josiah Brooks

Yes we can.
Not everyone is an edgy proto-nazi.

Where should we start with this, you should be more specific about what you want to discuss more specifically.

Declaration of Principles
- First Few Principles should be : Personnal Freedoms shall be upheld above all, first and foremost. That includes Freedom of Thought, Freedom of expression, Freedom of Assembly, Freedom of Entreprise ... and so on...

This is a good start, imo.
What else do you want to discuss?
Its hard to help you without knowing the current state of affairs in your country and it's even harder if you're being vague anout what your party represents.

Sep the classic no u turn.

As expected.

We tried the anti bank rethoric back when we were 15, by now we have bussiness people and financists so while we can depise banks all we want, full blown socialism it's out of the question, same with militia ideas, we are legit and we can participate in the democratic game with chances, so being to violent doesn't works for us.

Noted.

We are still nationalistic catholic and "liberal" (for a country with no abortion)

One of the principles people care the more about is autonomy, chilean organization it's extremely centralized so people wants to make federal party, where the states have some sort of independency from the central power (right now everything it's centralized by law).

Chile has very few experiences with federalism and none went anywhere, yet it's fundamental for the organization we are making cause it's a regional party.

In chile you can make two kind of parties, nationals and regionals.

Chile is divided in regions, for a national party you need 8 regions and for a regional party you need three consecutive regions.

So we excluded Santiago the central region, this it's one of the reasons we are making the party in the first place.

Thanks for the honest bump

We are at the right of the left, and even passed it on many issues, socialism it's all about centralized economy and shit, while we are on the other extreme and have more in common with libertarians, that's why federalism and self govern for the regions.

Article 3.

Article 1.- Men are born free and equal, in dignity and rights.
The family is the basic core of society.
The State recognizes and defends the intermediate groups through which society organizes and
structures itself and guarantees them the necessary autonomy to fulfill their own specific objectives.
The State is at the service of the individual and its goal is to promote common welfare. To this effect, it
must contribute to the creation of the social conditions which permit each and every one of the members
of the national community to achieve the greatest possible spiritual and material fulfillment, with full
respect for the rights and guarantees established by this Constitution.
It is the duty of the State to safeguard the national security, to provide protection for the people and the
family, to promote the strengthening of the latter, to further the harmonious integration of all the sectors
of the Nation and to ensure everyone the right to participate in the national life with equal opportunities.

Article 2.- The national flag, the coat of arms of the Republic and the national anthem are the emblems
of the Nation.

Article 3.- The State of Chile is unitary. Its territory is divided into regions. The law shall provide that
administration thereof be functional and territorially decentralized.

Article 4.- Chile is a democratic republic.

Noah Robinson

We start with a 110 members, but after we finish the process the number is around 5000.

I agree the declaration of principles determines the tone of the discussion but the regulations determine the organization and what can be done and not done within the party and from the party to the outside, so they have to be carefully written.

Article 1.- Men are born free and equal, in dignity and rights.
That's correct
The family is the basic core of society.
That's correct
The State recognizes and defends the intermediate groups through which society organizes and structures itself and guarantees them the necessary autonomy to fulfill their own specific objectives.
Kind of ambiguous and may leave room for subvertive goals like Soros ONG.
The State is at the service of the individual and its goal is to promote common welfare.
Based, that's the goal of all states
To this effect, it must contribute to the creation of the social conditions which permit each and every one of the members of the national community to achieve the greatest possible spiritual and material fulfillment, with full respect for the rights and guarantees established by this Constitution.
This sounds good, what's wrong about it?
It is the duty of the State to safeguard the national security, to provide protection for the people and the family, to promote the strengthening of the latter, to further the harmonious integration of all the sectors of the Nation and to ensure everyone the right to participate in the national life with equal opportunities.
Again good stuff
Article 2.- The national flag, the coat of arms of the Republic and the national anthem are the emblems of the Nation.
Yes they are
Article 3.- The State of Chile is unitary. Its territory is divided into regions. The law shall provide that administration thereof be functional and territorially decentralized.
Decentralization is good only up to a point.
Article 4.- Chile is a democratic republic.
Funny on Wikipedia it says Chile is a constitutional republic.

Sep Pinochet wrote that, or at least signed it.

My issue is with centralism, under chilean presidential republic, all high level government officials are determined by the president, including governors, the parliament is elected but all the rest are determined from the capital, in a big country like this that means some regions are seriously underconsidered (less population, geographically isolated or they are just angry at the current administration) so it's a detriment for the country overall development.

wait what
new political parties come about when people have problems that the existing parties seemingly cannot fix and people with new ideas how to fix these problems come together. in order to create a party you need some new ideas. but you are asking Jow Forums what the ideas should be???

Easton Perez
Easton Perez

I have the ideas and the people, more than a lack of new ideas the issue is that the chilean political system is in a representation crisis as every day less and less people are working on the parties and elections are won with less than 15% of the votes cause no one goes to vote.

Some issues can't be fixed until more people participates so new political parties that make people involved in the democratic process are a must.

Also this isn't a larp this things goes, I'm just talking about it.

I wouldn't know about it but what you wrote to me looked pretty decent.
Regardless of that, you should focus on developing your program and implementation methods. It's a long way until you get enough political leverage to even propose referendums for modifying the constitution.
Don't forget to use the flag I suggested so I'll know who you faggots are.
Make the Party self-funded by the members without them having political leverage according to their donations. You can use this as propaganda to show the people that you are not controlled from the inside or from the outside, but rather you act as a resonance chamber for their needs and desires to be heard.
Your role as a party is to represent the interests of your voters not to sway public opinion.

And WTF is this faggotry? Are you getting signatures for adherents before you setup your political platform?
I wouldn't surprised if you get spooks controlling everything you do.
The party needs to be setup by a small number of people that are trustworthy among themselves. You get the 110 unvetted initial members plus the ones who will join without you even telling them a program or a political view you adopt... risky steps.

David Perry
David Perry

I'll propose the white party for voting, why not.

Huinca is the mapuche word for foreigner.

I know most of the people from many years now, what happens is that you need those initial signatures to start the validation process that takes 8 months after that you can make rallies and even ask for loans to support the party.

The state even pays you a small amount for having a legalized party, and you get money from the votes, it's actually a decent way of making money, even if you aren't corrupt at all.

Asher Adams
Asher Adams

I'll propose the white party for voting, why not.
You will actively militate for the name adoption
Huinca is the mapuche word for foreigner.
Even better! Only a foreigner can be adverse to the interests of the Republic and of the Chilean peoples.

You faggots have a website and social media? I would like to get in touch.

I know most of the people from many years now
That's positive but I'm sure you don't know all the 110 members.
what happens is that you need those initial signatures to start the validation process that takes 8 months
No need to rush things, it's better to have vetted members than to be festering with moles acting for other people's interests.
after that you can make rallies and even ask for loans to support the party.
You don't need loans from anyone. Self-funding / crowd-funding works well.
When you organize rallies be sure to pay-off some goons to act as opposition and beat-up your guys. This way you will be justified to create an armed wing for the party which will be present at manifestations to keep the order. They will be properly trained and later when you will be faced with real threats from the opposition they will protect you.

The state even pays you a small amount for having a legalized party
That's good, should be helpful
and you get money from the votes
If that implies selling your votes to other candidates you should avoid doing that or at least back another party pro-bono so they will be friendly towards you.
it's actually a decent way of making money, even if you aren't corrupt at all.
Depending on what you see as corruption, I believe that you cannot be corrupt and be a politician at the same time.
Even paying goons to attack your people's rally is a sign of corruption.
Depending how far we take the concept of corruption, even hoping for material gains from politics is a sign of corruption.

Austin Evans

So far with no name we also don't have a website and the reason to have 110 funding members it's because it's required by law, we need to collect signatures in three regions and the amount of people is determined by the amount of voters from the last election.

The money they give you for votes is the same for every vote and it's an incentive for parties to win elections with more voters cause otherwise there's is no real incentive to campaign at all as you can win with any percentage of the total amount of voters.

And the financing is key, so far we take money from our own pockets and it gets expensive, specially travelling to the different regions to meet the different groups, we also have to make meetings, so, legal standard financing by the government is fair, not compromising and enough, so we rather work with that, rather than depending of a financist.

Lucas Morris
Lucas Morris

Josiah Cooper

You really need to find a suitable name and flag to represent the Party.
White Party - because it's clean and is centrist in ideology, trying to represent the will of the citizens rather than having an actual political affiliation with the Right or the Left.
Admitting that both the right and the left have positive views and negative views would be a huge boost. Tell the people that you try to get what is good for the people from all and any ideology without borrowing the bad traits of said political ideology.
The battle flag of that based boi fighting against foreigners because all who are against the Republic and of the Constitution (which should be organic) are to be considered foreigners even if they are Chilean citizens.

Do online signatures count? It would be cheaper to have a website and distribute it on social media, this way you would have country-wide coverage and get signatures without all the fuss of collecting them personally

Well the incentive should not be financial more than the sustenance of the Party and it is legitimate to get money from the state for that as long as you are indeed clean. Parties that serve foreign interests should not be funded by the state.
Not sure how it's over there in Chile but here Party members can donate their income tax to the Party instead of paying it to the State.
Traveling to other regions is not a very important aspect as much as is assuring that you get enough support in the said regions and when you do it you make it free for Party members to go there and the supporters will house and feast you. This is the old way of doing things and if you get recognition from the locals they will be very good hosts. You can discuss and understand their desires which must be voiced in your platform.
The meetings should be at the same time you visit different regions. This way people will get a feeling of direct involvement as all important members are present and the discussions are open.

Your aproach to it, it's very much what we do, party members are the backbone and they donate the money time and resources, so far it has been a friendly enterprise but I expect things to get complex once the party is official and can dispute seats, until then our job is to set the bases for what the party can be in the future.

Your aproach to it, it's very much what we do, party members are the backbone and they donate the money time and resources, so far it has been a friendly enterprise
Good for you guys. It's hard to find consensus these days, even less a fruitful collaboration in politics.
but I expect things to get complex once the party is official and can dispute seats
They are already complex because you need to plan ahead lol
until then our job is to set the bases for what the party can be in the future.
Exactly and to be appealing you need to be an echo chamber for people's will.
Also you should militate for freedom of media and having an informed public. The outlets will love you for a while, until you get the power and declare that private funded media is bound to serve private interests thus it's not free and you ban all private media so you won't be Jewed. KEK!
I like the white star idea
Globalist faggots will love it too. Gotta make use of their symbolism to make them think you're one of them. White Star may be better than White Party.

Leo Morales

Signatures in front of the notary only but you can take the notary itself to a park or a public place, also they can't charge you for inscribing the party, it's on the law.

I know is complex but until you have people going around making disasters planning it's nice instead of a pain.

I have conflicted opinions about media, in one hand we need them and they will support us partially because we are bound to steal someone's votes and until they consider us a threat we are practical, but once we have any chance to win things will take a drastic turn, in some of the less populated places we will have jurisdiction we have great chances but there's practically no media there, besides internet and radio, (tv don't cover irrelevant elections) and media of that size it's not really corporate funded.
