I'm more interested in a slightly different question: Trump HAS to win this showdown. How does he do it?

From a negotiating standpoint, Trump was an idiot to create a binary situation where the democrats MUST loose for him to win. He keeps saying "Why don't you compromise by giving me everything I want?" Why can't Trump negotiate his was through ordinary channels instead of creating a crisis?

Really the only way out of this for the Democrats is televising a catastrophe and not mentioning the passing of the budget.
