Rich=over 10 million a year, at least if we’re talking about a 70% marginal tax rate. There. Easy peasy. That used to be 90% btw. And also they only pay the most federal income tax, and that still means jackshit when you account for much of the wealth they still own you economically illiterate fuck.

Christopher Kelly
Christopher Kelly

Following that logic, why do we have taxes at all? If everyone 100% "earned" and "deserve" their money, isn't taxation theft? Should we just let the government, military and emergency services collapse? The answer is no, that's retarded. Rich people only earned their money by exploiting people. If workers were actually paid for 100% the value they produced, rich people wouldn't even exist. Taxing the rich more is perfectly fine.

Jayden Turner
Jayden Turner

If I earn heaps of money for doing a difficult job that most cant do, I will do that job. If the government takes away so much more money from me than from the average Joe that I only get to spend as much money as the average Joe, I will not do that difficult job. Therefore, raising taxes on the rich will result in people not bothering to earn large sums of money

Because they're at a point where they can accumulate wealth faster then they can lose due to their wealth, but smaller companies can't, meaning that higher taxation of rich companies essentially guarentees that everyone else can't compete with them, giving them a monopoly.

This allows them to dictate prizes. Combine that with cheaper labor costs from the mass importation of unskilled labor and wage depression due to the importation of foreigners, and you get a ponzi scheme where they both get to cut labor costs, dictate prizes to the consumer, and, whilst it may slow down their ability to accumulate wealth slightly, essentially keep them permanently at the top of the totem pole.

I believe there's a difference between the "rich" and mega rich. The mega rich almost always get their money through nefarious means. We should literally strip wealth from these people. But of course, not with this government. This government would give it to black federal workers and trans latinx people. But with a new government, we should strip wealth and give it to those who rightfully deserve it and for programs that will launch us into the future. But sadly my fellow americucks believe that "they worked hard for it." :^)

Liam Mitchell
Liam Mitchell

You're looking at it from the perspective of what they pay vs what they have? Socialism doesn't work you greedy fuck. When those that take their 10 million + salaries and decide not to deal with assholes like you, who do you imagine will remain to foot the bill? Then you'll start campaigning to tax those that make 100k+ a year etc all so you can be a lazy fuck or defend lazy fucks.

Jack Sanders

Because if you believe that the surplus tax revenue will benefit society in any way you are delusional. Even if it does, due to the ever present corruption it will only do so at a decreasing rate...

On the other hand, by allowing the rich to remain rich they are inevitably helping society (although, not always the native one). This means they create jobs, donate money to causes, fuels innovation, and so on... Simple as that.

Tyler Sanders
Tyler Sanders

This.
Its even better in rich arms than poor actually. The rich (if smart and self made) will likelly invest most of the money in something that generates wealth, rather tham wasting ir on frivolities like an average nig. Thus resulting in creation of jobs and opportunities to earn money for an average Joe. Free money, on the other hand, does not help the people, only make them into lazy leeches, actually hurting them in the long term.

But no one is suggesting we bring rich people down to the spending abilities of the average joe. Literally no one has proposed that. Said it best.

People really don't seem to understand that by its very nature the government will always spend money inefficiently. This is because people/teams that work for the government don't operate in a competitive environment. Private institutions need to operate better, faster and cheaper because they have competition.

The same goes with money spent by the rich. They're encouraged to spend money wisely since its their money. For example a development funded by private investors will always be better and cheaper than a government funded one since the latter doesn't really need to succeed. More jobs and growth happen when people spend money freely rather than the government.

The fact that "socialism" works in Scandinavian countries with totally different culture and history does not mean that it will work in the US. Also, don't ever mix up real socialism, which is typical in Americas and Eastern Europe versus the highly capitalistic welfare states in Western Europe.

It's funny when statistics are whining about how much wealth are the rich is sitting on. It's similar to the demagogue statement that 99% of wealth is in the hands of the 1%. And? Who cares? The world is still a better place than it was a 100 years ago or so, the main proof is the exorbitant population growth. Not to mention stuff like obesity and the list can go on. So, why do you care if your neighbor is richer if the general wellbeing is objectively better for everyone? Also, if Bill Gates gives a shitton of money to charity, is it not kind enough of him? Taxes as used to pay for public services like road maintenance make sense, since everyone uses them (so it's just paying to maintain the nation you live in).
Why should rich people have to pay more to maintain their surroundings vs poor people, though? The question isn't "Why should rich people not pay more?"; it's "Why are poor people entitled to pay less?".
Most rich people make their money through hard work. Poorfags just can't admit that rich people are mentally superior and harder working in most cases.

That's actually what happens in my country tho, a lot of rich people "move" to Andorra so they can pay less taxes. A lot of businessmen and elite sportsmen do it, even when it's illegal. There are many many ways to incentivize the rich to spend money in their home. One can be concessions on particular industries:
lax taxation policy in place to not chase them away abroad
rich man from industry A wants to expand to industry B, which is highly lucrative business
concession rights must be purchased from government by buying state bonds for X dollars for Y years
government benefits by capitalizing on the bonds before they expire
investor gets the benefits from industry B probably even sooner than the annuity expires

Yeah, but I don't think raising taxes on the rich is going to magically solve it without either some serious states rights violations or simply not allowing people to move overseas. I think it would be better if instead of spending money on gibs for minorities, it were to be spent in improving infrastructure and repopulating the rural parts of the country, where prices are lower and thus the spending power of the families might be higher. It would also help to stop concentrating the high paying jobs on the coasts, so I think it would go a long way into removing the wealth gap

Do you realize what america was like before taxes we implemented?

No one needs to be taxed, the government needs to be reformed to consume less capital and be more efficient, you can't have any of that without destroying diversity and localizing almost everything not private save for education and the military, whilst at the same time maintaining hierarchy and killing commies.

Libertarianism enables degeneracy through capitalism because it allows the monetization of sin to occur and fails to stop erosion of a culture that requires moral imperatives that appeal to metaphysical statuettes rather than materialistic ones.

Autonomous theocracy? Yes.

"Government should only exist to make men angels."

The founding fathers made a mistake, and im not going to be the last one to admit it. The renaissance itself proved technology could progress with morality. Why the fuck are commies hell bent on stagnating every single currency on earth for the sake of rendering everything useless just so they can say nothing has any value in a Socratic definition? The stagnant wage growth is just a symptom of our modern technologically advanced world where labor is less and less valuable. There is nothing unnatural or wrong with it but that's why in the future society have to adapt to the new challenges. France tried a wealth tax and the rich left in droves damaging the overall French economy
consumption taxes and property taxes are the most appropriate way to tax but they’re regressive

Basically there is no way to soak the rich

Taxing the ever-loving shit out of the wealthy isn't Socialism. It's just theft.

Socialism involved nationalized industry and taking resources for the success and failure if the economy. U.S. liberals are too chickenshit for this, and don't want to risk their golden goose of a political career promising shiny things to idiots. They expect successful people to tolerate their parasitism.

You wouldn't even have obesity if people fucking stayed away from gluttony and would've heeded the word. You wouldn't have coveting if people stopped buying into a kike system that materialistically quantifies labor in a vague abstract way by attaching the value of paper to bullion gold. You wouldn't even have global warming as a concept if everyone adhere'd to the warning that those who destroyed the earth would be destroyed.

Stop acting like you can say that the problems that plague civilization, a system constructed from metaphysical statuettes cannot solve its problems by simply listening to a 2,000 year old book that basically protected, provided for and maintained from then on. We live a causal universe and you're saying that effect has not cause because the specific action im asking you to do in your opinion renders all the history from today to the day Jesus was crucified invalid. You're dishonest if you look to Europe and only see the dark ages, to which arguable even to some commies, believe was a better time to be alive then today minus the technological progress. You had social order. Today you have secular moral agency and a severe obsession with taboo with no impulse control.

Michael Morgan

You're uninformed. Throughout all of modern history there has been only one pathway out of poverty for the average person. And it did not come from a government bureaucracy. It came from limited government free market economies creating massive competition. Not only does it create an environment for the best products at the lowest prices with the best technology. It creates demand for labor. Employers are competing for employees which naturally raises wages, working conditions, benefits etc. By expanding government in the west we have squandered everything and we now live in a big government Cronyist racket which is making the rich richer, and decimating the poor/middle class. It is no coincidence that every first world country has followed these rules, and it's also no coincidence that every shit hole has not. To actually believe that a benevolent group cares for your well being is beyond naive. Human nature is to always put your personal well being ahead of others. That is why Socialism never works.

You dense motherfucker, thats not what hes saying. Before america had a bank and had just separated, people were not endlessly killing each other in Boston. Their were minor rebellions that were stamped out due to necessity of making the point that the government could defend itself to protect its citizens from a banana republic.

"Living" in this context implies complacent and entertained. The human body itself literally doesn't require a philosophical construct to function, however you're arguing on "is ought" principality, the person you're replying to is talking about material reductionist views on government. He's right, people forget the whole reason why government exists is to serve the people in the best way possible, he's alluding to the fact that people have taken advantage of this naive expectation of their government, and that it will help them with everything they need to live in the sense of what you contextually meant. Meaning they naively trust their government to not betray them and go philosophically evil. Which is why he's alluding to it, because they have before, and currently its getting worse.

The ability of wealth to generate more wealth grows at a near exponential rate. Why should taxes not do the same?

Luis Reyes

The way that the tax system works is that the entire federal budget is taken out as a loan from the Federal Reserve and then paid back to a small clique of private bankers plus 7% using tax revenue.

When you "raise taxes on the rich" you are literally just giving that money to the richest people in the fucking world. That is why these financial interests encourage you to repeat this stupid low-IQ line, because you aren't actually redistributing wealth downwards, you're redistributing it upwards to them. Remember that every dollar in circulation is basically an IOU to the Fed, so the more they can get into circulation, the more power they have.

You think that you're whipping the rich--you aren't. They're howling with laughter at you because you're serving their interests. They just rigged the system so that they win no matter what you do, and you, like a good useful idiot, fucking fell for it.

Since the dawn of humanity, people have collaborated in order to use resources. They have agreed and disagreed, but always negotiated. Violence has only destroyed vale and reduced the amount of resources.
Only one use can be given at once to each instance of a resource. If people are to agree on their use instead of fighting over it as savages, private or exclusive property must be assigned over it. That is, only up to one agent, be it a physical person or a traceable group thereof, can own any given instance of a resource at a time. That owner or proprietor can thus make use of said resource as they most see fit, be it trading it or consuming it, for industry, sustenance, entertainment, or any other reason.
Thus, the only ways property may enter the hands of somebody are original appropriation, transformation, and free, voluntary transactions. Any form of confiscation, tribute, or tax is thus illegitimate, as it is a transaction violently forced upon the proprietor. The fact that most of it goes to the salaries of state officials and cronies, and very little actually goes to the poor and downtrodden, only makes the offence even more egregious.

Property is a sacred tenant on which civilization has been built. Trying to separate it or build a ghost of "public property" to receive the spoils of theft is barbaric at best and immorally evil at worst.

Additional Examples:

Jeff Bezos says he'd like to see taxes raised. Why is this?

Oh, it's because he simply bought the government two years ago, and now his company gets tax-exempt service from government institutions. So what he's doing is creating a barrier to entry for possible competitors. Capital uses the State as a bludgeon to club its competition.

Bill Gates says "tax me more!" on the subject of income tax. Why is this?

Oh, it's because Bill Gates hasn't had an "income" in 20 years. His entire fortune is built around Capital Gains and has been since he stopped active service at his companies. Capital Gains tax, you will notice, he is dead silent on. He knows that his gargantuan financial investments will thrive no matter what he does, he doesn't give a shit about income being taxed because he doesn't officially have one.

Target, Alphabet, Viacom, gigantic corporations push LGBT agenda shit that objectively loses them money and customers. Why? Well A because they're owned by Jews but B because it's a TRADE. The discussion is always about personal income tax, and maybe if you're lucky about corporate taxes (ours are already some of the highest in the world but, of course, the big guys never pay them because they can claim philanthropic deductions) but when was the last time you heard a serious discussion on Capital Gains? Sanders gave one and was immediately silenced.

Basically you're too stupid to have this conversation and Porky knows this, he's aware that everything that you know about finance, he told you. He paid to have it taught to you in such a way that he could abuse your stupidity and use you to make money. When you talk about raising taxes, you're talking about giving Porky more power over the working class, you're talking about HELPING these fucking kikes rob the white working class.

What you're describing here is imperfect property rights. In an ideal world X would be able to sue Y for damages caused to your property by his smelting or dumping mercury into the water, etc.

The problem of course is that we cannot possibly have perfect property rights because we do not have perfect information, and trying to obtain it would create avenues for massive class-action lawsuits against anyone who has ever performed any kind of industry ever, because there is no way to prove that any particular ill you suffer WASN'T caused by the factory upstream. Your son is born with three eyes? Probably the factory's fault. You get emphysema? Probably the insulation in your house's fault. In an ideal world we could know all of these details and potentially assemble lawsuits but in practice, it would just create a huge lobby of frivolous lawsuits as has occurred in the medical industry. Moreover we know for a fact that Pharma encourages these lawsuits against surgeons and doctors to draw fire away from itself, and they definitely have the money to bribe both the doctors and lawyers to get away with this.

The real answer to all of this is that there is no easy solution that does not involve essentially a Fascist reorientation of our entire perception of industry and enterprise. Unless you EXPLICITLY state that all industry must demonstrably serve the Volk as well as the Capital it represents, it will gradually become exploitative and negative. Otherwise, you're going to get Cyberpunk dystopia in 20 years.

Okay but as we've previously established, what you're ACTUALLY doing is paying those taxes to a small clique of gargantuan banks because the State doesn't use our tax revenue for anything--they take the entire federal budget out as a loan in the form of treasury certificates (sometimes the money is literally printed on the spot) and then pay back that loan with taxes.

I don't know how it works in Norway, but not only is this the standard in America as-per central reserve banking, it is rapidly becoming the standard globally. You are literally the opposite of correct, what you are proposing is deliberately cucking everyone who actually works for a living so that you can give more money to a handful of bankers who then use it to pay for unlimited brown people in your country.

This is the problem with simplistic thinking. I agree, fuck these ultra-rich assholes, but if you want to fuck with them you need to understand that they have had 60 years of uninterrupted rule to wu-wei the system so that they win no matter what you do. What you're actually talking about is fucking a bunch of petite-bourgeoisie for the benefit of the de-facto Aristocracy of the country. Protip: One side promotes monopolies and tax breaks for the rich, the other side promotes monopolies and taxing everyone into the ground but leaving tax breaks for the rich so THEY get rich.
They're both the same cartel.

Did it ever occur to you that if you got rid of the central bank, you wouldn't NEED federal taxes?
Did it ever occur to you that then the Treasury would be the ones originating currency, and they could loan money for things like housing and education at 0% interest?
Did it ever occur to you that then there would be no national debt at all?

Why don't we do this, you ask?
Because the worldwide central banking cartel couldn't get their cut of everyone else's "sweat of your brow" and they'd stop making money by sitting on their fat, pimply asses.
The Jew couldn't profit, if we did what Thomas Jefferson (smartest man on Earth) told us to do, and leave the origination of our money in the hands of the people.

Oh, and before the "inflation would bury us!!!" shills get in here, just look at what has happened to the value of the U.S. dollar since the inception of the current central bank...the value of a dollar has dropped to below 5 cents.
If you're going to get inflation anyway (due to fractional reserve lending, which is how the banks create money out of nothing), then why rack up debt on top of that inflation?

There, now you know who is REALLY screwing you, and that the RepubliDemocrats are just their employees.

A divided and fractious political base is easier to control because you can play them off against each other. The entire point of the mongrelization of America is that it gives finance capital more leverage. If the people are fighting each other they will focus on each other, and ignore the powers that pull their strings. Plus, lower IQs achieve the same effect.

We know from their own words that the Jewish and Anglo-Elite world order see this as a desirable outcome. A deracinated and chaotic social situation enables Capital. It also allows them to distribute debt across more people, thus decreasing the odds of anyone noticing that every American is born with about 36k dollars of debt sheerly on dint of being citizens of the nation, and the number is climbing at a frightening rate.

The intended future of the US is literally just Brazil. Brazil will never implode, it's perfectly stable and its population is too low-IQ to organize against its owners. The Kalergi plan is proceeding more or less exactly as intended.

This is not actually true, though it can seem that way especially if you live in an urban area. There is a very substantial rural/suburban middle class (where I'm from it's mostly Mormons) who are doing well, but not so well that they could be considered ultra-rich. This number is shrinking in hard numbers as a result of overregulation and the machinations of Jews, but much faster as a percentage of the population due to mass immigration.

The problem increasingly is that if you want independent wealth you basically have to be one of three things: A landlord, some kind of ultra-lucky/talented artist or entrepeneur, or a fucking Jew who makes all of your money off of speculation and trading.

It used to be that normal people could at least live sufficiently off of their incomes and have families and pass something on to their children. This, of course, would create a large petite-bourgoisie who might actually notice the egregious behaviors of high-capital, so it has to be destroyed. All of this talk about taxing "the rich" is actually about destroying this middle and upper-middle class of people. Orwell was right--true revolution never starts from the bottom or the top, it starts from the middle. If you can eliminate the Outer Party, the Proles will simply not be intelligent enough to realize they are being exploited.

there are many issues;

finance needs to be regulated.

gov should have held onto shit bank equities to start a sovereign wealth fund to actually get something from the bailout.

privitisation of gov assets is a fucking joke.

services would be better if they were better paid.

end most subsidies of business, farming tech wallmart etc etc get huge tax breaks and hangouts and make record profits.

tax does in fact fix most problems. america put a man on the moon because the rich were on a 91% tax rates with corporations paying around 50% at the time a proceeding decades.

etc etc.

there isa lot wrong and its easy to fix on an a4 sheet of paper.

THIS is the most genuinely factual prediction made in this thread, and it's what always happens. You cannot attack Capital without them simply redirecting the force of your attack onto the middle class unless you have something like a fascist system. Maybe not even then, Hitler famously let a bunch of big bankers go who he absolutely should have killed.

The problem of the USSR is like the worst possible case scenario. The Jews just redirect the anger of the people onto what amount to the middle class, and then let the massacre ensue. Yagloba, I want to say his name was, intentionally starved ten million Ukranians to death to try to incite a lower class revolution against the middle class. Left unexamined in most discussions about this topic is the fact that nobody from the upper class (at that point the Party and its cronies) was ever punished for what was objectively their fault.

This is why Fascism was such a revolutionary idea. Rather than encourage class struggle, it encouraged class cooperation along ethnic lines. It wasn't a perfect system but perfect systems don't exist, the entire point of any discussion like this isn't to get a GI Joe happy ending where all of the bad guys suffer, it's to reach some sort of compromise between labor and capital that changes the priorities of both to serve the Volkish interests of the public.

The problem of Capitalism in its current form is that collective bargaining is tolerated only along class lines. and only when it ultimately advantages Capital by defusing revolutionary animus. Why shouldn't there be racial collective bargaining as well? Why not religious? Why is fiscal class the only legitimate class of people?

Have you ever heard that rich people can afford to move to other countries if the tax rate is too high?
Ina world where we've normalized taxation, let them.
You can (and they do) tax money moving across international borders.
If you're worried about all "de rich folk" moving out of your country, simply tax every dollar they move out of your country at 90%.
It wouldn't stop them from making their money overseas, in whatever country they want to live in, and just keeping it there, but it would stop them from moving the money they made in your country, out of the country.

AGAIN...none of this would be necessary, if the Treasury Dept. originated all money, instead of borrowing what the government has decided to spend, from the central banking cartel.

All the people here complain, but never address the core problem, just the ancillary problems created by the core problem.
It's very frustrating.

Again it'd be easy if you were fucking Hitler and you could simply mandate changes, but you're not and I'm not, we have to engage with a system that is dominated by Capital interests on all sides, and they are the ones who get to actually write the letter of the law because they bought everyone who does the writing.

So the problem you run into is structural. How do you implement a revolutionary anti-capitalist (natsoc or demsoc or whatever) system in a country of 360 million people half of whom are barely literate when all of the people who write laws oppose the public will?

Every attempt to do so at the present time would simply give Congress and its vile occupants license to pass more of their agenda. That's what we're dealing with in America. I agree in principle that you could design a system that would actually function, but neither you nor I would get to actually do the designing. The problem must instead be dealt with at the root. Politics flow downstream from culture, and culture is downstream from race and religion. That is why we fight.

appeal to authority via opinion relative to subject matter.

You can pick and choose, im talking about the entire pool and the continued existence of it is due to the majority believing morality in an objective sense exists regardless of whether it does even in the anti hypothetical. The irony here is, you refuse to accept that morality plays a massive role in civilization because it drives it. Its a verbial system which justifies actions. I am certainly not implying that it isn't a problem, but that the kneejerk responses to the problem are almost always accounted for by the system.

You see rich kike abusing his money. You think "we should tax this kike so he can't abuse his money," but of course he's had 60 years to plan for this so he changed how taxes work so that the money just goes to his kike cousin. His kike cousin then uses that money to lobby for a bailout for aforementioned rich kike's sixteen companies. In the end nothing is accomplished except that a bunch of other Jews along the way get a slice of the pork.

Because taxation is theft, regardless who you do it to, and taking money from the rich makes it impossible for them to invest in newer companies because they'll be too concerned about maintaining their current wealth to accumulate capital, which will end up stagnating the economy by halting the creation of jobs. That's why, you commie fuck.

Taxes are enforced spending at the point of a gun.
You get taxed, for instance, and the money is spent on tanks the military doesn't even want. The owners of the military industrial complex get richer, jobs are sent to the states of those who voted to force you to spend your money, and...
...do you get a tank? Did you even want a tank? Would you have rather saved that money, or invested it? Or bought a fishing boat with it?

Taxes force you to spend money, so you cannot save it, and you must relinquish it as profits to the already-rich.

Better example...prisons have cable TV...do prisoners who have stolen or murdered, or grifted, need cable tv? Of course not. But lawsuits have been fought, claiming that living without cable tv is "cruel and unusual punishment."
Who wins, when YOU are forced to spend money on cable tv for prisons?
The already bursting-with-cash cable companies, and their owners, of course...

It is already well-known that it takes money to make money, and with the stock market trades shutting down after a certain percentage of loss occurs, and the government unconstitutionally interfering with markets via their "plunge protection team" (propping up the rich man's wealth with public money), nobody loses their fortunes, these days, regardless of how incredibly stupid their investments may be (Netflix).

Taxation is theft. What’s the difference between “We can’t afford this political program, but you can — so we’re going to take your money to pay for it” and “I can’t afford this tv, but you can — so I’m going to take your tv”?

Nothing. There is no moral difference between the two, and if you think there is, you are completely brainwashed.

Furthermore, I would like to posit that taxation is not only theft, but also slavery. I work so that someone can reap a portion or all of the benefits of my labor.

Andrew Brown

I wish it were as simple as getting elected but as you may have noticed from this whole Trump thing, it isn't actually that easy unless you declare a state of emergency, get emergency powers and then don't get ousted by the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

In reality most of these policies are never voted on, they're implemented by unelected bureacrats who are themselves appointed quietly by congressmen and state-level politicians who do so with the express intention of appeasing their donors. This is one of the reasons why the US should never have been one country, it should have been between 20-30 smaller countries each with their own legislative bodies and no federal government, because in such a situation it might actually be possible to hold legislators to account.

Instead because the country is so massive, 90% of the people who actually make decisions are simply unknown. Everybody focuses on federal-level electoral politics, the average American can't even name his own state's legislative body, only the federal government. Moreover the federal government can't actually impose things on state-level officials (as we've seen with Sanctuary Cities) because of muh state sovereignty, which would be fine if people actually paid attention to local elections but of course they don't.

Now I hope that you're right and that we do all wake up and just vote to change the system, but the forces arrayed against such a movement consist quite literally of the people who run the world, the people who benefit from them running the world, and the largest and most powerful media and propaganda apparatus in the history of the human race. The very fact that the only words I can think of to describe the machine we're fighting here are biblical should be a good indicator that our chances are not good. Behemoth. Leviathan. The US media-MIC-banker establishment is literally Jörmungandr-tier massive.

No because if america can function above the entire continent of Europe and still give aid to nearly 20% of the world using 10% of its GDP without even flinching its hard to argue that because European street lamps look better than new England street lamps. That your shitty keeping up with the Joneses thought excercise is nothing more than a mere excuse to attack its blantant supremacy. WW2 left america almost unscathed, the rest of the world may have rebuilt, but america is the reason why that even occurred, and it pisses everyone off every-time I mention that. Either though indirect consequence or direct consequence of interacting with us, did the Soviets or Europe or the Chinese improve anything period.

Capitalism of one nation on a single continent with less than half a billion people keep half the world's economy up. Why the fuck do you look to other countries for inspiration when they all use the same banking cartel? America has the bigger influence over the cartel itself because of its impact potential. Simple fucking flat numbers dictate this.

That’s a gross generalization and you know it. The rich create jobs. It is the wont of the rich to create more wealth, and to do that, they need to produce more goods and/or services. This requires a larger workforce. While some of the rich probably do partake in illicit activities and make unnecessary purchases in their personal lives, their professional lives generally enhance the lives of the poor.

Again, the problem is you think the rich is stupid and that a government policy can outsmart them. It's not possible, never been and never will. Tax havens as you have stated already possess a portion of their wealth. So don't you think they'll increase the amount if it "defends" their portfolio? Of course they will. And the federal roads are paid for by gasoline taxes. State roads are paid by state taxes, but subsidized by Federal taxes.
