Because if America intervenes it'll be another 10+ year "war" that's really about control of the world's oil reserves and not any humanitarian issue. If invading Venezuela was humanitarian they would've done it when Maduro overturned the constitution so he could take power like the dictator he is.

Why should we care? Venezuela falls into the category of "national security interests" in which it's definition is now a broad interpretation. Russia and China are trying to expand their sphere of influence and the DC hegemons are going to fight tooth and nail to maintain and expand their unipolar world view. So Venezuela is just another chess piece, nothing more nothing less. This isn't about being moral, or supporting democracy, that's the same shit they feed us time and time again and we are bankrupt as a result.
