You can divide 48 by 2 and 9 by 3 and get a full number, if you divide 5 by two you get 2.5 (decimal number), if you divide 9 by 2 you get 4.5 (which is a decimal numbers), most numbers are divisible by 2 or 3 and obtain a full number (which is not decimal), but you can't divide certain numbers by any other number (some numbers are divisible by 7 for example) if a number can not be divided by any other number and obtain a full number then its a prime number.
