The good thing is that the Catholics who remain are becoming way more orthodox than the boomer generation. A lot of millenial/zoomers are leaving the Church, but the orthodox (I'm not talking about the Orthodox Churhc, btw) remain, which means we will have a small but orthodox Church in the future. Even the young clergy now is way more traditional than the generations before. Novus Ordo will die organically.

A lot of the lapsed Catholics may not come back but everyone who stays is serious about the Faith.
