Well i'd say it's not "normal" in a way that for example you meet new people and smalltalk about your jobs and stuff then casually saying "oh i'm a prostitute, what about you?" would definitely stick out and some people would probably find it pretty weird/look down at it. Just like most people wouldn't just bring it up in most conversations "so how was your day?" "pretty chill, hit the gym, got some grocerie shopping done, fucked a hooker real quick, cleaned the kitchen, you know typical saturday stuff".

Idk how many people use it, i know like at least 50% of my male friends tried it once or twice. I even was at a brothel with some buddies and heart similar stories from other people but it's still something you'd only bring up to good friends and yeah mostly if you're with your boys.
