Vaccines only work when the overwhelming majority of people are vaccinated. There are some people who legitimately cannot be vaccinated, and they are put at risk because of "muh autism." Also, if you allow a disease to just be prevalent in a population, there is a chance it will mutate and the current vaccine will not be effective.

There's also the very real failure rate of vaccines which can cause anything from flu-symptoms to autism to death. Failure rate is remarkably tiny (around 0.005%) but if you're inoculating a massive population with 30+ vaccines that's going to look more significant. Possibly more significant than some disease that hasn't had a single case in decades.
