they didnt

Inexperienced, poorly trained/led army attacking into mountainous terrain, against a dug-in enemy force? Not a recipe for success.

They literally werent ready. Mussolini begged hitler to wait until 1943 at the earliest.

Also the italian soldiers didnt give a shit about fascism. It was always seen as an elitist scholarly boys club philosophy. They say surrendering as sticking it to the man, the man being il duce himself

Because Italians are kikes in disguise.

Their officers were shit

?????

Being good or bad isn't just how many people are killed. Of course Italy attacked them, so they should have had a plan, but maybe French did had a better plan. Maybe it was as random as trees in the way of Italian soldiers, while French shot from above.

We were still using WW1 equipment and our industrial production was ridiculously small compared to other european powers.
On top of this both the high command and generals were extremely incompetent
oy vey delet this goy

Overconfident expansionists, relying on poorly trained armies, with officers lacking any sort of doctrine and having to be bailed out by their superior allies when they realised that declaring war to another country with an entrenched army and with knowledge of the terrain wasn't a good idea.

aside from some sporadic act of heroism (involving for examples Fecia di Cossato, Amedeo Guillet), italians doesn't give a shit about second world war and nazi untermensch, that was not their war. also the army was exhausted by the war in etiopia and spain...

bad officers and poor equipment
but then again the french also had poor equipment
so i would say primarily bad officers

Italians were not sold on the war. They were not won over like Hitler did with the Germans.

back then the Italians had more of a reputation for surrender than the french, but time changes things...

low iq
physically unimpressive men

We were on the winning side

its a myth

im pretty sure italy wasnt even in ww2

...

>low IQ
>it's actually the highest among Europeans

Kek.

Troops were good but equipment was shoddy aside from a few very good pieces and chiefly it was the leadership that was absolutely shit.

Italy needed an officer purge like Stalin did, it was full of completely inept corrupt retards that only got in via nepotism and family prestige.

I don't think Italy was all that devoted to the war nor did Mussolini really seem to understand the situation. He thought war was a matter of glory not so much about actually winning.

We achieved very little because we were a very poor country, absolutely unprepared for war. Hitler wanted a war immediately and Mussolini was afraid he would be left out of the most important war of his life if he didn't join

Average IQ by country + google

>google is a source
yep there goes that high IQ immediately. I bet you threatened the people issuing the tests

>replying to a leaf
I bet Italy would jump up by 1 point without you.

That wasn't the Italy of Rome and Davinci.

>sent from my iPhone
haha look at this fucking wop

actually Stalin didn't purge enough since there were retarded soviet generals too, like the guy who thought horses are superior to tanks and aircrafts

Mine furor said, "He (Mussoloni) has a good appetite, but poor teeth."

Because Italians are retards

Who cares if they lost, what matters is that they were by the right side.

Poor understanding of military strategy, lack of combined arms or cross-branch cooperation, and an underdeveloped industrial sector in comparison to the other great powers-- Leading to a poor military.

They were blacked when africans moved to rome when their empire collapsed.

Since we're on the topic of world wars.

They did alright not gonna lie they held out until the end in the north of Italy. Lack of industrialisation really hindered them but their special forces were top notch.

I answer to everyone, I do not discriminate.

Which likely makes me a retard, yes.

Italians are low in conscientiousness and are highly prone to corruption. Not a good combination for war.

You have got to remember fucking Italians stopped an armoured division using only grenades by hiding in camouflaged foxholes and jumping out on to the top of tanks.
This is not the act of a coward people who cannot fight in war.

>google is a source

It's what allows you to reach the source. It's the first result anyway

Italians are cucks
>source: google

Good at renaissance revolutions...fighting not so Much.

Arent americans like an amalgamation of bongs krauts and italians though?

I mean, you are not wrong, we are weak like most of the West. We try, but we are still weak, we got too comfortable in the last 50 years.

I know you are a kike but i need to post this.

It depends on where you live. There's probably some people in North Dakota who're completely German, whereas a white person living in NYC is probably a few different types of European. Italians are mostly found in NY and NJ. You're also forgetting the Irish.

you're supposed to get mad and call me a leaf

at least you guys make fantastic food though

There are eastern europeans too

Alot of Italian Americans fought in the Pacific along with your Nazis.
I think one of marine corp division was basically made up of Italian names.

Thanks, Satan

Those were Germans fighting in the north not Italians. The Italian Social Republic was little more than a puppet state of Germany. After Italy surrendered in 1943 Germans came and occupied the country.

>Italians were not sold on the war

this

Italians were sold on the promise they'd get a new Roman Empire, not this. When Nazis took over, they ended up sitting in the back while Germany took over

It was both Italians and Germans.

Yeah sure thing burger, look at the troop numbers they levied.

Italians fought for the socialist repuclic over the king at a 2:1 ratio

What battle was that?

And?

El Alamein. Folgore Division.

Like we said. There were sporadic acts of bravery (see also the savoy calvary) but in general italians just had no will to fight for fascism and mussolini

Worked really fucking well didn't it?
Budyonny is a meme

They fought well under Rommel and Kesselring.
I think the problem was poor leadership and equipment not the will to fight because they fought until the end.

>the joke
>your head

I just needed an excuse to post pic related and you gave it to me by mentioning Memeyonny.

>102 IQ
HOW? Did you deport the terrones?

Dude, have you ever tried coooking Italian food? Those guys are super autistic about it, they would rather be in a kitchen cooking stupid shit instead of fighting.

Totally not ready, it's not even debatable
Italian troops had really old equipment, even worse than the french and that was already old compared to Germany and UK
Modern equipment arrived later in the war and mostly in the russian front and the italian campaign

Italy had been unified in the late 1800s and has fuck all for industry by the time WW2 rolled around. No industry means no success. The Italians did have some impressive successes in North Africa and Eastern Europe as well as a few in Italy when t he allies invaded but were doomed to fail for lack of supply and industry.

> Budyonny's response was to arm himself with his service Nagant M1895 revolver and call Stalin to demand he have the agents removed.[4] Stalin complied and the event was not discussed again.

WTF?

>anti-semitic trotskyite
Wut

Stalin was a pussy who was afraid of everyone hence why he tried to kill everyone.

You also had some famous divisions like the Folgore division of paratroopers.

>In 1941 a 5,000-man Parachute division was raised and was designated the 185th Parachute Division Folgore, it was trained for the assault on Malta in the planned Operation Hercules. When the Malta invasion never took place, the parachutists were deployed instead as infantry in the North African theater, despite being poorly equipped for this role. It was engaged in ground combat operations in North Africa from July 1942 until its destruction at El Alamein. Following this, a 185th Parachute battalion was raised from survivors.

>At El Alamein, as part of the German-Italian Panzer Army the Folgore was to the south. It was attacked by the British 44th and 50th Infantry, 7th Armoured, and Greek and Free French brigades making a feint to draw attention from the objective of operation Lightfoot and to pin down the 21st Panzer and Ariete armoured divisions.

>The heroic behavior of the Folgore Division during the Second battle of El Alamein in resisting the attacks of six British divisions (two armored and four infantry) inspired the respect and admiration of its enemy. Lacking effective anti-tank weapons, the Italian paratroopers managed to stop British tanks only with a few obsolete 47/32 guns and petrol bombs. On 11 November 1942, when the battle was over, the BBC transmitted the famous official bulletin: “The remnants of the Folgore division put up resistance beyond every limit of human possibility.”[2]

>The Folgore, having run out of water, withdrew from the El Alamein front at 2:00 a.m. on 3 November 1942, carrying their anti-tank weapons. At 2:35 p.m. on 6 November what was left of the division was captured by the British. They had exhausted their ammunition and destroyed their weapons, but refused to raise their hands in surrender or show the white flag.

Stalin feared men with larger moustaches. No joke.
That's why Soviets won over Nazis in the end. Hitler's moustache was just so bad compared to Stalin's.

One more
>In late summer 1942, after participating in the conquest of eastern Ukraine, the highly-mobile riflemen (Bersaglieri) of the ARMIR eliminated the Soviet bridgehead at Serafimovič on the Don river. Then, with the support of German tanks, the Gariboldi troops repelled a Soviet attack during the first defensive battle of the Don.

>Meanwhile, on 17 December 1942, the Soviet 21st Army and the Soviet 5th Tank Army attacked and defeated what remained of the Romanians to the right of the Italians. At about the same time, the Soviet 3rd Tank Army and parts of the Soviet 40th Army hit the Hungarians to the left of the Italians. This resulted in a collapse of the Axis front, north of Stalingrad: the ARMIR was encircled, but for some days the Italian troops were able—with huge casualties—to stop the attacking Soviet troops.

>The Soviet 1st Guards Army then attacked the Italian center which was held by the 298th German, the Pasubio, the Torino, the Prince Amedeo Duke of Aosta, and the Sforzesca divisions. After eleven days of bloody fighting against overwhelming Soviet forces, these divisions were surrounded and defeated and Russian air support resulted in the death of General Paolo Tarnassi, commander of the Italian armoured force in Russia.

RIP horsies

>On 11 December 1942 the Soviet 63rd Army, backed by T-34 tanks and fighter-bombers, first attacked the weakest Italian sector. This sector was held on the right by the Ravenna and Cosseria infantry divisions. Indeed, from the Soviet bridgehead at Mamon, 15 divisions—supported by at least 100 tanks—attacked the Italian Cosseria and Ravenna Divisions, and although outnumbered 9 to 1, the Italians resisted until 19 December, when ARMIR headquarters finally ordered the battered divisions to withdraw.[3] Only before Christmas both divisions were driven back and defeated, after heavy and bloody fighting.

The Regio Aeronautica did pretty well for their tiny numbers and overall shitty equipment.

> africans with rocks and stocks fight modern European armies into exhaustion

COWARDS who were mainly gay faggots in barracks

The few new aircraft they produced were fantastic. The Germans loved the G.55 as well as the Allied pilots testing captured ones.

La dolce vita and dying for il duce aren't compatible to each other.

It just keep getting better and better doesn't it?

Sicilian/wop men left the BOOT cos the men in the 20s , were effeminate an the New World was better ,
those left behind were degenerate fags an freaks , its well known BBC4 did a history show on the worthless men in the 1930s .

Germany always played things to bring it to their favor.

we were not really ally at that time, is believed the nazis supported Ethiopia because Mussolini had an agreement with the fascist government of Austria, and in 1934 italy sent 75000 men at the austrian border to prevent Hitler attempt to Anschluss, which made him renounce because at the time he couldn't take on Austria, Italy, France and Britain.

That meme has no sense,we were not ready for sure,we were going out to WW1 with huge losses,we waste military stuff in Spain and in Ethiopia, when Japan did boombayha to Usa,we already know that the war was lost.

the italian civilization began in the 9th century BC and finished in 1815. what came after that was nothing but a terminal. and yet, we are the 3rd economy in europe together with france and after the uk and germany. imagine being this based.

one on the right is fake lol

Poor experience, poor artistocratic leadership on the field, poorly made, non-uniform equipment. It’s actually a fascinating study in how badly poor logistics can really fuck you

Oh also their ships ran away from the British a lot. They couldn’t build new ships like the British could and the Brits took advantage. Ideally the Italians would have secured the Mediterranean and Southern France
