I've always found that odd, especially in rivers. Ironically, one of my favorite songs has "Green" in it, but is ultimately unrelated to today's tradition.

The Federalist Society was formed to get a handle on this problem with turncloak judges. This tendency of judges to flip left may be related to the general tendency of conservatives to sink into Washington. The mammon-like quality of the town turns almost everything within it into corrupt, Democrat filth over time.
The federalist society basically hands the GOP its shortlist now, and there appear to have been a lot fewer mistakes since the 80s.

Here's the DC story about the ICE union complaining to Trump about catch and release. If you read through it, the guy keeps saying there is a national emergency on the border. So while he is bitching about catch and release, he's also bigly making Trump's case for a national emergency.
