But it shouldn't matter if you're a journalist or some zoomer sharing it with their friends, owning the video doesn't necessarily imply fucking anything. That is probably safe. But the raw file is easy to spot. I am betting every file uploaded to the drive creates a hash code. When they have a naughty file they want removed from any accounts they just search for who generatednthat hash code upon upload. Altering the file in any way will alter the hash code. They probably can't know each and every version of the video but they can find the most widely shared ones. Changing the resolution, length etc. would alter the hash to something unique.
