Ah monarchy, the beauty and majesty of the court...
The more I think of it the more it makes sense.
>He became notorious for his philosophical stunts, such as carrying a lamp during the day, claiming to be looking for an honest man. He criticized Plato, disputed his interpretation of Socrates, and sabotaged his lectures, sometimes distracting listeners by bringing food and eating during the discussions. Diogenes was also noted for having mocked Alexander the Great, both in public and to his face when he visited Corinth in 336.
i love this man. i wish a real biography existed of him.
It's not traditional art, but it's an interpretation of the Biblical story of Ezekiel's vision:
>Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
>(...)
>And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
>(...)
>Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.
>The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.
>When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went.
>As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.
And as for the artistic style, here's something else that you might enjoy, from the Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry.
Wow.
Why do you love him? Because he didn't care about nothing? He can be funny but admire him or love him? I don't agree.
Music is also art. Here's something for you Nordcucks.

thanks aquafreshanon. i have seen it before and always wondered what was depicted.
being homeless?
This is a nice one. I always liked this one.
To answer for myself: because he chose his own path in life. That alone made him superior to the vast majority of his contemporaries - and almost all of ours.
Good, now we can put honkler on all these and show he's been around for hundreds of years
>Thanks
Seen this chick often in medieval paintings but can somebody explain to me who this is?

Into the trash it goes
In recent years I've become a fan of Bronze Age Northern European art. This is the Trundholm Sun Chariot.
Oh boy, here we go
And here, the Nebra Sky Disk.
I'm rather a fan of this one. The variety in the expressions of the viewers is captivating.

With the wheel, I thought it was supposed to be Bhumandala
Kys nogunz cunt
Indeed. I have more.
Might also have been a source of inspiration. However, the wheel having that absurd shape is what tipped me off. "Ezekiel's Wheel" is thought by conspiracy theorists to be an early example of a UFO.
One of my favorites.
Looks like herr Hitler.
Indeed, although tis a shame a monarchy would have hard time within the complexity's of the modern world and economy. It is possible it could exist in a Fascist like state but it would be temporary.
This is a reconstruction of a wooden shrine, or gazebo, found in a Dutch bog.
This one, too. Almost like a photo.
Yes Leighton is an under appreciated artist.
