>Designed to fight against government misusing it's power. >Government keeps high tech weaponry for itself forbids citizens from purchasing them. >"It's cool though you can buy the shitty weapons for yourself. Have fun with your katana and musket" >*Slowly narrows the variety of weapons allowed by second ammendment* >Meanwhile forigners are infiltrating our government and instating policy that favours them instead of americans.
They're basically saying "yeah you can stand up for yourself, as long as we're sure we can beat your ass."
What is the point of having a safeguard against a oppresive government if that government is so strong that the safeguard doesn't even matter?
>10 automatic weapon armed policemen vs 100 unarmed civillians with about 5 of them having a glock
Is this supposed to be a fair fight?
The reason insurgencies are hard to destroy in the US is because they rarely show thier face and are far too spread out. That's the one weakness to modern military: guerilla warfare. Yeah you could have the FBI hunt down and maybe get a few of them, but they won't catch them all. Especially if they are big enough to operate outide of the country.

>What's the point of rights if the government can take them away?
Here's the catch: the policemen can't tell which civilians have glocks until after they start firing.

>second ammendment >ammendment Fucking kill yourself, jew rat.

but they have ballistic armor correct? vests, helmets, etc. I realize that's not a end all be all to ballistic protection, but it is effective.

Im not anti-2a. Im just pointing out a right that fails to meet it's created purpose. I certainly am not saying we need to take away MORE guns. Just that the guns we are allowed to have are more or less meaningless in the grad scheme of things.
Jow Forumsacs will call anyone a jew/shill these days....

He has a point though, pro-2A activists should be pushing repeal of existing gun control measures >National Firearms Act and Gun Control Act - Bans based on length and accessories >Firearm Owner's Protection Act - Bans full autos Every American citizen should be able to legally purchase a fully automatic rifle, compact carbine, submachine gun, etc. And if the government is going to have helicopter gunships, drones, and main battle tanks, we should also have anti-tank weaponry and anti-air missile launchers. It's only fair and right. The intention of 2A was for the average person to have proportionate firepower to the federal government. The US was never even supposed to have a standing army in the way that it does now. Obviously a standing army is necessary in the modern world, but it doesn't justify restricting the ability of the people to keep and bear arms accordingly

monkeys shouldn't have guns, that never ends up well
